Cold water or ice cubes

Do you think watering with cold water or placing ice cubes on soil will simulate the frost of fall and help stimulate plant color. Like bringing out the purple in a dark auto?

Helping or shocking?

I typically just bring the temps down to the mid 60's. I have however put ice cubes on top of the soil and it didn't do much, there was a result but not much. I put like 10 on top of the soil in a 5 gal bucket maybe it wasn't enough. just dropping the temp works best for me. it shouldn't shock it too much as you usually do it in the last weeks of flower

Yeah i dont know how to drop the temperature though. I live in florida and run the AC at 70 just too keep it somewhat cool. If i dropped the temp anymore the electric bill would go up by 100 or more.

mine is just a tad smaller. I bought one of those portable A/C's at wall mart to put in the room. don't have to run real long and works like a charm, also acts as a dehumidifier.

How much did that run you? Also what do you do with the condensation that drips from them?
