A little dwc trouble

lookin like root rot. which could be caused from high rez temps, not enough dissolved oxygen, and have you pissed off Odin lately?

That how my roots always looked when I grew DWC even with multiple airstones, keeping the rez cool with frozen water bottles, h2o2, beneficial bacteria, I tried everything and the roots would always devolve from white to...well what you have going on. I switched to an aeroponic setup and have never run into any of the DWC problems I was having.

I think ultimately you may not be getting enough dissolved oxygen is your reservoir/rootzone... but it's probably Odin's rage
Should I just trash her and start over? Rez Temps are always 65-68 for. Plenty of air. I got 4 soda can size air stones. But I'm not using RO water. I think that might be the problem. I might just take some cuttings and trash her

do not worry about it how is your water level are you a good 4 inches below the rocks it looks like you have new growth out of the side I'm also using canna I also have spots. what is your pH after just a and b? ..I have done DWC a couple of harvests H&G aqua flakes only Anna is supposed to be the same and more but my favorite is cocoa with flora Nova boom and boombastic. I think ph causing a bit of calcium deficncy, that's why I asked what you were pH was and if its accurate because our problems parallel in a hydroponic situation one bad day can cause that so as long as everything is good now make gradual small changes

I set my pH at 6.0 to give it room to fluctuate... I turn on my meter and make sure it's calibrated correctly. Water is about an inch or so below the net pot. Temps in rez never rise above 66... I've been checking them and the pH b4 I change the rez..... I really think it could be me not using RO water. Idk

MAybe RO but those can get expensive, you can try and use distilled water as a test, rather than buy the filters and re-plumb your house. But I grew in 30ppm water which was tap but as clean as it gets and still had brown roots. maybe not trash it, but I would highly recommend making an areoponic set up

I never saw a difference , used ro but now i let it sit a day. as a matter of fact nute companies take into consideration tap vs ro and designe more "profesional imballanced higher chelated" nutes. I watered with too cool of water and shocked mine a bit. Im getting down to 60 with lights off so im putting a mini heater in. A buddy just gave me 2 gallaxy 1000 hps and im getting ready to step up to the big leagues

Hey joespit ( thats like asking my son to get a ferrari...lol)i got the pumps timers but dont see the point in going air. Is it that awsome. Should in resurch this some more? I enjoy hand water 0n me coco substrate. Keeping it simple bro. Im just had great results and forsee problems with more complex airioponic setup. I could set up a nft ebb flow drip, but im just not seeing prosv outweighing the cons.

Why would you mix peroxide with hydroguard? Thats just basically dumping your hydroguard down the drain. The peroxide is killing all the bacteria in the Hydroguard, thats what it is... A form of Bacillus. And thats what peroxide does... kills everthing!

I wouldn't use peroxide unless I had no other option. I use it to clean flood tables, reservoirs, hydroton, netpots etc. Not in the nutrient reservoir. Just my opinion though.
Finally someone points this out... peroxide kills the microbes in hydroguard. There's a big part of your problem
