I've been perusing an Enterprise (I flew so I'm partial to something we can land upon), Although the Iowa is local and in floatable condition. @dirtsurfr has the corner on the maintenance side of things and of course the chair concession as well. If we go with the Iowa I already have my accommodations scouted so I'm flexible.
No, I want to commandeer the Enterprise I look at the Iowa as a distant second. Can you imagine the RIU folk on something as small as the Iowa, the fights would never end. We'd be dropping people through the shell or gunpowder hole thingey left, right and sideways! On the Enterprise we'd have a catapult for the definitive solution. You wanna commandeer the Iowa,....???

LOL Air, land or sea? We'd probably need all three.I can provide traffic control.
LOL it's a pirate ship, we have to have guns, but we can have love too. That's the point of piracy, we are shaping the ship to our needs. But we need to remember we may have to defend all that love. For some reason people now days just want to kick the shit out of happy.Ugh. Bad memories.

We are all cursed, we were born right?Aye, but I think this ship might be cursed.
Albatross!
Life is suffering. And sometimes it itches too.We are all cursed, we were born right?
Life is pain, unrelenting, worsening and oft time incomprehensible. But home made ravioli is good and so are roasted, stuffed cherry peppers.Life is suffering. And sometimes it itches too.

Sorry forgot to report back on my progress. This is me reconnoitering the Iowa. You smoke`n too much. You can sink Enterprise really easy. You can`t sink Iowa.... Those bad crew will go right out the stern gun no problem, land 40 miles away.
The hull on Enterprise after the decap, is 8" thick solid armor, the Iowa has 8" decap and solid face hardened 24" armor citadel. Plus Iowa is a bit quicker with one hell of a sprint speed.
At 887 feet,48,000 tons she`s anything but small.
I'm ready! Next grow should about cover that ha ha!

LOL I must admit to an attraction to the bathtub and the rotary cannon on the Iowa but CATAPULTS! How can you NOT want a catapult? Only thing better might be a cow and a trebuchet but but......You still rather have that floating airport ??
You know I think you have a point right there. I have been arbitrarily limited in my thinking! We could be a pirate ARMADA! Yes a battleship AND a carrier, f'n genius! You're in, now go snake the Iowa and we'll meet ....... somewhere south and warm, where's a good place?Enjoy the wind on the Weatherdeck, and I`ll enjoy the spray of the lowrider.
