Ok thankyou! . I figured that's why the little one was flowering so early but I'm so confused about the big one. It was planted 2 days after the little one, and it just shot out of the ground and passed up the other. I t hought they were the same strain but maybe not. The reason their together is I'm just growing for my own personal learning and enjoyment. Not out to fill a 10lb order. Im using bag seed so I planned on at least one of them being a male anyways. I'm growing for absolutely free besides a little plant food. I'm not trying to win the cannabis cup. They are in that container because it's all that would fit on my window sill some what discretely.
No problem man. I would recommend getting a compact florescent bulb from a grow store and cheap timer. Put the bulb in a lamp pointed at the plant and make sure it gets 18 hours of light. I will tell you the stress from doing this now after it has started to flower is exactly the kind of thing that will make a plant hermie if you dont let it go back to veg for long enough. Next time, there is always next time.
I suppose that's open for debate, as for every hermed plant there is always some factor of stress to be taken into consideration. In theory, yes, a hermied gene is a hermied gene, and it reflects a weakness in said gene. That is not the worry unless it happens repeatedly. I run some strains that hermie from a crack of light coming from the door, but they are killer when you grow them right, and so I do. I just assume any plant can and will hermie, so I grow always with low stress being at the forefront of any decision I make.
