I was in the burn unit 8 weeks before going to ICU , i also broke my back , tore up a bunch of vertibre & discs , had 2 partial amputations & 3 back surgeries , 4 series of skin grafts & thats all within the 1st 9 months of hospital , since ive had nearly a dozen more surgeries on my spine , its an errector set .

I was near a 1,000 gallon propane pig that exploded & the force threw me 50 some feet & burned me before i landed in the roofers tar pot , twas a fuked day , i went back to work on the 10 th month with open wounds & infections , i had too , the itching from new skin & nerve endings growing will drive you out of your mind .

I was eating 5 80 mg oxycontin a day plus wearing a 50 mg 3day transdermal fentynal patches & it still hurt like hell , been on high level pain meds ever since from the nerve damage to my spinal cord .

Today was a good day ,i only had to take one 80 mg oxy & 1 8mg dilaudid .
Wowzers, man you got blown up! blown up and kinda melted, holy shit.Back to work in 10 mo's. Sounds like you're lucky to be alive.

"Twas a fuked day". Now that'd be understatement.

Way to pull through and keep a great sense of humor.

Panhead,
I grew up over on long lake and woodward, do ya know the neighborhood? rode my little punk bicycle all over the cranbrook campus, and B'ham, back then.

I like it at a nice 25 C when the sun is on and prefer for temperature not to drop much below 20 C when off.

I live on the east coast in North Carolina in my younger days I loved the summer the heat and humidity was never an issue but as I've gotten older I've found I now prefer the cold weather of our winter here.
This winter was especially cold and we've had several snows and several ice storms......one of which is due here later this evening .....I just can't seem to get comfortable in the summer.
I'm already down to shorts an sandals with no shirt but that still is to much.....around here they frown on sandals and nothing else at the country store.......give me the cold I can always put more on but I can't take but so much off before I become fodder for an upcoming episode of cops !

The perfect temp is debatable, wife likes New England and I love Florida weather. Cold does not affect her at all. Me, I could lay in the sun with a nice warm breeze and be perfectly content. Rough year 2014 was for me and I was in CT in a heating blanket all summer. This winter in Fla i am in shorts, that's it, and loving it. I am sure during the summer here it is hot/muggy but I believe I would not mind it one bit, but end of March and we will be trekking home, I am sad to go home to the miserable snow, cold, ice yuck. I may run away from home.

Blown up , burned up & fucked for life , wasn't all bad though , my employer & the contractor responsible for the explosion compensated me very well & paid all the med bills , it wasn't enough to make me a rich man but I coulda retired & never worked another day from the settlement , going back to work so soon saved me multiple skin grafts from keeping the skin stretched by being active .

I know the area well & it's not too far from our house in the city , for the dream cruise we try to set our camp up right at the corner there , property values are doing well around there too & is still a good area .
