Yup. Pretty much same thing. Clones really don't need much light as far as I know cause their focus should be on rooting.
Use any of the fluorescents (T5's, or CFL's). You don't need a 400w Lamp to veg clones, especially only 4. Veg under fluoros, 18/6 for a month, then place under 400w of power.I've been using a 400 watt light to veg 4 clones; is there a light bulb that is more efficient for vegging clones?
If I use CFL's, which brand do you recommend, and how many would I need?Use any of the fluorescents (T5's, or CFL's). You don't need a 400w Lamp to veg clones, especially only 4. Veg under fluoros, 18/6 for a month, then place under 400w of power.
I always use a couple of 65w 2700K CFL's available at Lowes or Home Depot. Ideally, for rooting clones, you want a 6500K spectrum, but any cfl should do, in a pinch. Make sure you use reflectors with the Lamps. You can buy "clamp-lamps" for this. 4 clones (I assume they're about 5-8" tall?) don't need a Lot of intense light. 130w /CFL Light is more than enough to veg those clones for a month. If I use CFL's, which brand do you recommend, and how many would I need?
I haven't bought the clones yet, but they're usually around that height. I wanted to veg my clones more than a month. I wanted to veg them till june so that I can put them outdoors. Would I need to use different lights after a month?I always use a couple of 65w 2700K CFL's available at Lowes or Home Depot. 4 clones (I assume they're about 5-8" tall?) don't need a Lot of intense light. 130w /CFL Light is more than enough to veg those clones for a month.
Yeah, they have roots.Do the clones have roots when you buy them or r they just clipped. While rooting they dot need much light at all. Once they are then can go under your 400 watt
No, you can veg them longer with 130w CFL. (just keep them close, huddled under the lights). If you want to veg longer than a month, you will need adequate containers. Your best bet are square containers, so you can keep them close together, huddled under the lights. Make SURE you have reflectors, and your walls are covered in reflective material. All this, and you can easily veg 4 clones for 6 wks or so.I haven't bought the clones yet, but they're usually around that height. I wanted to veg my clones more than a month. Ok cool.I don't have any reflective material in my basement. What do you recommend I put? AluminumNo, you can veg them longer with 130w CFL. (just keep them close, huddled under the lights). mylar is cheap. But hard to keep clean and shiny. There's this rolled silver bubble wrap looking insulation at lowes called reflectics. It's pricey but works great and insulates the room.Ok cool.I don't have any reflective material in my basement. What do you recommend I put? Aluminum
Nice BC ! If you have any pics of your LED set-up I'd love to pull up a chairI'm doing similar. Taking around 10 clones and choosing the happiest 4 around the same size. They will be under the t5 fixture you posted above untill they root good. They will be in a 5 gal bucket spray mister cloner I made. Once rooted they go into 3.5 gallon buckets on an undercurrent rdwc setup. In a 2x4 tent under 200 watts of LED white light. (A51 w100s). Then the 4 veg for a month or less and go into a 4x4 tent under 600 watts of LED.(4 a51 rw150s) my power bill only goes up 50 and I have a shit ton of other things running. Effietently as it gets I think.
Use the "dull side" of aluminum foil, (it's more reflective) - it works fine, try not to crinkle it all up as you line your space with it.Ok cool.I don't have any reflective material in my basement. What do you recommend I put? Aluminum
I don't want to fill up op's thread. Forte want to see what I got setup?Nice BC ! If you have any pics of your LED set-up I'd love to pull up a chair
I wouldn't recxomend this ony because it will be near impossible to clean without tearing. White panda film is cheap and will work.Use the "dull side" of aluminum foil, (it's more reflective) - it works fine, try not to crinkle it all up as you line your space with it.
Yeah. I don't mind, bro.I don't want to fill up op's thread. Forte want to see what I got setup?
