awesome bro I know when I get testers I pop them bad boys asap, I feel I owe the breeder that much, not directing this to u at all hydro so no worries I know u will give them a great home I seen ur grows and u kill it all the time, I just get so exictied I read how breeder give out tester and people don't even run that shit, they add it to there collection or trade with it and that's mess up, testers are the way breeders get there gear out there and to find out if its a stable cross so they can get the seeds to masses, I pride myself at being a great tester and I love to help out the canna family anyway I can

Right on bro, I know you werent coming at me bout it. I agree though, I feel bad having had these red eye jedi testers as long as I have but I thought it wouldbe better to test full packs at a time and in order to do that things gott wait a sec is all. I will get to these mich quicker than I did the red eye though since I wanted for the blueberry hashplant to show sex and that was a mostake given how long it took lol.
I would pop then now but the 8/10 females I got on thse blueberries has me worried lol. I dont wanna have to axe a girl because of lack of space. Especially on testers since you want the largest sample of fenales possible. So I gotta remain cautious of female count not just total plant count per say.

I am guilty of taking 2 months to crack my testers
but best believe I germed or attempted to germ every single one of em. 18/20. 
Been trying to document it as best as I can over at Breedbay for Bodhi.Edit* whoops, thought this was the Bodhi thread.

its all good atleast ur running them and 20 is a lot, I got mad seed in my collection but I run testers first, they got priority over everything, if I got runts in my flower room ill cut them down to make room and seedlings are so small they hardly take up any room no matter if my garden is full to the brim I still can pop 25 seeds and fit them somewhere by the time they get big there will be room somewhere, idk I feel its my obligation to run tester as soon as I get them, I am guilty of running like 3 seeds at a time and I read somewhere that breeder like for testers to run the whole pack or atleast 7 so u get sum females to compare each other with and have different phenol and do u have the same name at the bay

Yeah I got 2 packs of norstar off ngr last week and they come with 5 testers. I have Octane og (fire og x frisco og) and frisco fever (oaxacan x frisco og) and while they both sound like dank I will have to hold on to them for atleast the forseeable future. So while they are "testers" I wont be testing them soon.

As a novice grower that really has no option but to grow from seed I don't like to crack less than a full pack. Preferably more than a pack. I would like to get a good idea of what a strain has to offer. If you only end up with 1 or 2 plants then you maybe are only getting to see a small piece of the picture right? I feel like what's the point of cracking 2 or 5 beans? Especially with testers. How much of a judge can you get from 5 beans when statistically only 2 or 3 will be females? Might only get 1 pheno, or 1 nice plant and a runt and then aren't left with much results.
On the other hand when you are buying the beans they aren't exactly cheap and buying 2 or more packs of everything you want to try can be expensive. I understand because even though I don't like to, I do some half packs so I can have variety, also sometimes am weary of a strain or breeder so don't want to just go all in on it.
And then I always have the paranoia of "well what if that strain isn't available in 2 months or 6 months" or whenever. Damn. Wish I lived in one of those places where I could just acquire a few proven cuts of strains I have tried and enjoyed. Fucking bean addiction.
