I Know this wasnt the smartest idea but i put 3 different bagseed in one 10 gal container. Now i have a indica that is 6 week into flower and its starting to fatten up while i have sativa thats barely starting to flower. And a hybrid thats in between. All of the roots are tangled together as well How Would yall go a about flushing and harvesting? I Know the indica will be ready soon so can i flush all together harvest the indica then feed the remaining plants after or Would this stun them? Also what about the roots? How Would i go about removing them? Or ive thought about leaving the stock with one small branch so i wont harm the other plants trying to remove the roots. Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Ty

1st pic indica main cola
2nd is of all 3 plants. Hybrid on left, indi on the right and big ol' sativa in the back.

No need to flush. Just continue feeding as you otherwise would. When one plant is ready just chop it down at the base of the stock. Repeat as the others ripen.

Do you think the roots will be ok with the whole plant being chopped at the base? Im scared the roots might rot. Thanks on the Quick response

They will be fine. I run a no-till organic soil where I chop the plant at the base of the stem, and I leave the entire root ball in tact in the container, and then I plug a new clone right back in to that same container (roots and all) for the next round. The old roots are fine left in there, and will eventually decompose as microbes snack on it.

Soil? I forget to mention im growing in DWC does that make a diff? This is off topic but have you tried grafting? That way maybe you can actually keep the roots and turn it into another plant instead of just turning it into food.

Haha! You really didn't need to mention anything considering we're in the hydro section. My apologies. I just clicked on the "new post" tab above and your post was at the top of the list. Didn't even pay attention to what section I was in. lol

My hunch is that you'll be fine with the old roots in there for a few weeks, but I can't be certain. In soil you would be fine, with DWC I'm not sure.

Sorry about that.

its cool man, you were just trynah help. and i thank you for that. i was thinking maybe i can cut the plant at the base and just leave 1 or 2 of the bottom branches so it can stay alive and not rot on me... seems a bit cruel to do that to my girls but its better then damaging the other plants roots as theyre all tangled up. only problem i see with this is maybe she will hermie on me, so ill have to watch out for that. or does anybody else have a better idea?

Just trim off the majority of ripe buds and I'm sure there will be some lil nugs not ripe, keep them a few weeks, and after that try and maintain as much of the stem and whatever growth you can spare. I'm sure it won't be like re-veg'ing a plant but it should give you he extra time you're looking for

Agree with above, just cut what you have to to harvest so the roots don't die back, skip any flush, and watch for male flowers on the remaining portion of the finished plants. Be ready with the H2O2 if you have root die back.

Great idea. Id leave as many leaves on as possible and just do a two stage harvest where you let the lower popcorn ripen longer. To the OP, if you really want to flush id suggest just dropping the ppm to 400ish. I wouldnt even drop it though. My 2 cents.

thanks guys ill defenitely do that. ill harvest my tops when i start to see the trichs going amber and leave the small popcorn buds with as much leaf as possible.this should be enough to keep her alive. maybe this way i can even pull off a second harvest from the same plant. i wonder how much theyll fattn up hmm... thanks for the idea and i always have some h202 ready for my girls if neaded. about the flush, yall are right. i shouldnt. im thinking of just harvesting at night time so that whatever nutrients shes taking in atm would be in her roots and not running through the plant. as i read that the plants store there nutes in there roots at night. ive actually tested this as i like to juice my leaves when i prune instead of just throwing away. i pruned some at night and some during the day and the ones that i got during the day definitely had a more bitter/chemical taste then the others.

I never knew that! I too juice my leaves and yeah they have a zing to them. I'll try a night juice to see if that zing goes away

yeah man, try it out. maybe the taste wasnt from the nutrients maybe its just from her being awake or something. but the night time leaves did taste more pure. let me know how your test comes out, if you can tell the difference or not.
