Transplanting a cloneclone

I bought a clone from my dispensary and it is about 3 weeks old, I need to know how long and when I need to transplant it to a bigger pot? I am new at growing.

do it now, its plenty big enough. u can go to ur final pot at this stage. 3-5 gal or whatever

it's still to small ( main stem ) let it grow in that pot for a week or 2 then transplant

This Will be grown outdoors when should I transplant it I am using fox farm ocean forest soil , molasses horticulture organic spray nutrient

let dry lift out of pot see lots of roots transplant don't see lot of roots leave in pot water and wait

The sooner you transplant the scrawnier the plant will be. You need more undergrowth between the first nodes and the crown. I would top her today and leave her in that pot another 2 weeks. You will get a shorter and bushier plant with topping asap.

The roots are pretty dang long right now should I keep it in a 5 gallon bucket or move to bigger pot

Leave it in there for another month or so. Also just one pic is enough no need for the slide show of every angle of the little plant.

I'd repot it and bury that stem up to about an inch or two of the bottom branches. I'd also coat the stem with rooting hormone when I did it..but that's me..

General rule is that one gallon of dirt will provide for a plant for one month. That's why I rarely use anything larger than 3 gallons and finish a lot of plants in mini-pots that are 7 inches square. Only time I use a five gallon pot is if I'm cultivating a mother plant I plan to take tons of clones off of.

You know, pot plants new to dirt will spend most of their energy growing a root system to support the plant. Not until the roots find the inside of the pot will they start to grow much above ground. That's why I transplant twice - you want the roots to grow out to encourage green growth. Putting a new seedling straight into a five gallon pot guarantees you many weeks of watching roots grow out. Better to transplant early so the roots can grow out to fill the pot. Works for me.

I know that if the roots hit the bottom of the pot, it's a good thing to transplant to bigger pot so the roots don't mat together and go around the plant in a circle and rot, I started off in a solo cup then to 1 gallon bucket to 3 gallon then to 5 gallon bucket
