I guess you don't understand that we were told which school to attend by our address, more schools wouldn't have given us more choices, they would have still assigned which school we could go to.

Have I mentioned that yet? That our school was decided by address not by families?

Not sure I mentioned this yet, but we were assigned exactly one choice and that was by address. Can you explain how more schools matters?

I'm thankful for post high school education, but I can honestly look back at K-12 and say we are doing it wrong. You feel the same way, you just can't seem to bring yourself to say it. Teach by ability, not by age. That little tidbit right there completely blows up the K-12 mentality.

No other choice. Couldn't home school because of work. Private school entailed indoctrination into Catholicism and no school would be jail time.

No charter schools in the area at the time. Charter schools still operate under the flawed premise of at 8 you learn this, at 9 you learn this, at 10 you learn this and everyone moves on together.

The future is in online schooling where kids advance at their own natural pace, not the pace the government deems a child at that age should advance at.

With you graduating from Michigan cum laude... why you elect to stay ?
My oldest went Catholic school from 2nd to 5th. Had no problem separating home, life, any religion, and school

no, i said i dropped out because wasn't learning anything anymore.

i learned a lot in sociology, psychology, economics, business writing, statistics, probability and the like.

when it came time to prove that the square root of 2 is irrational for a semester just to round off a degree, i said fuck it. i had everything i needed to pursue an actuarial certification at that point, and a job that was paying almost $17 an hour which i decided to do full time.

I can't believe you still bother with me blowing up my alert box daily. Didn't you say you hated me and I should leave? Ignore me dude, we'll both be better off.
