iS THIS A RETARTED QUESTION?

In a recirculating system or DWC or any system using air in hydroponics, if you were to fashion a venture valve onto your res would it cool the water at all if the venture was set up top suck the air from an ice cold place like outside in the winter or from say a freezer. Would this air injection while making bubbles cool your water? Seems like an innocent question... According to another member I need to stay on my meds...

Some guys just like hammering people , i dont get it but they like it .

If your asking if you can pull ice cold air thru your compressor & push chilled air into the rez , therefore cooling the rez & eliminating the need for a chiller or other cooling method the answer is no .

The cold air being sucked into the compressor is warmed durring its time spent in the compressor .

A much better & proven method of cheap rez cooling is making your rez with geothermal cooling , the easist way is to bury a 50lft coil of copper tuning below the frost line & recirculating the rez water thru the burried copper & letting the earth absorb the heat from the water .

Ive been running geothermal rez's for about 5 yrs with great success .

I forgot an important step or two , you want to use 1 inch copper tubing for the flow volume & you definetly do not want to use a submerged pump which will heat the rez from continuous use , you want to use a high volume inline pump that you can mount outside the rez .

I'm sorry I wasn't totally clear but thanks and I understand what your saying. I have a mini freezer that stays very cold. Inside I have 2 50ft galvanized steel shell garden hoses I was able to get for basically nothing. I connected the two hoses, neatly coiled them inside the mini freezer and have each end connected to a 3/4" push through straight barbed fitting. When I connect my pump to this, it works great and the temperature is very stable. Now what I was asking in my other question was this. You know how a venture draws it's air from the top air inlet? If I was to run a short piece of air hose from inside my mini freezer or from outside where the temp is below freezing, would that cold air that the venture pulled in make any kind of difference in cooling a system. That was all I was asking really. Does it really sound that dumb?

Yes sir I always roll with the inline pumps which I have 4 very heavy duty cpu aluminum heatsinks with fans thermodynamically keeping the pump cool. Well that's the idea. lol Makes a decent difference compared to no heatsinks.

And I always keep my res in a separate room along with my ballasts to try to help. I put some of the leftover pipe insulation on all my thick drainage hoses and I wrapped my modules in a thick layer of bubble wrap with a top layer of mylar tape. My res is a 35 gallon cooler sitting on cinder blocks and Styrofoam to pull heat away. Well again that's the idea. My next little project is to build an insulated box for my res and for each of my modules.

Once you form a canopey and your ground floor temp is in the low 70s with inline pumps you should be fine use a little hydroguard if your temps get any higher you'll be fine gl with your gro

I love the fact that you're thinking outside the box. Coming up with new ideas is what makes all of our lives better. I think it's a great idea but...what exactly is the problem? Is your water too warm and you're losing plants to root rot? If you don't mind me asking, what are your room temps?

Always evaluate your goals. You have your goals written down right? What are you trying to do? Do you want to grow pot? Are you already harvesting more than you can get rid of? If that's the case then experimenting is great. If you don't have weed coming out-yo-ass right now then stop everything and focus on what we are all here for, growing medicine. Of course you may have many years of growing under your belt and if that's the case I don't need to tell you what to do so please don't be offended anything I say. It's all good!

We had them in the last shop i worked at. you hook up a compressed air source ( 90psi+) and it blows out cold enough air to form ice crystals on metal parts. We used them when running coolant/lube on a part wasn't practical. I don't know if a scaled down version would work or if it needs the high input air pressure to work efficiently. Only issue is it does exhaust fairly warm air out the back..so that would need to be vented away

Thanks for the input! I just ordered some! I knew there was something I forgot! I'm really going the extra mile to by keeping every single ounce of water in the absolute dark. I have extra pipe insulation for my larger return lines and last night I made some breathable net pot covers that will easily stretch as the stalk grows. Thanks again for the input!

Hahahaha! Thanks man, nice to meet ya to. Yes sir I do have many years of experience but it's all been with indoor / outdoor soil mix grows. The reason I have been asking so many questions is because I'm venturing into hydro for the first time and am just trying to get my environment and components set perfectly because in truth, I provide medicine to several people. I do not charge these people any money / profit. I only ask for my running costs to be replenished which I split between them and a few of them I don't even ask for that because I feel so bad for them. The reason I tell you this is because this is why I've switched to hydro. I need to be able to keep "monster" mother plants that I've LST trained to do 3-4 complete 360' rotations creating piles of nodes / clone cutting sites. Growing plants for this purpose and maintaining them in soil is very doable & has worked for years but I've ran into a couple cycles where I could have used more clones. So I've decided to take the little DWC experience I have and perfect my 0 RDWC SKILLS to obtain that EXPLOSIVE growth RDWC potential I see others getting. Thanks again & yeah I will ignore the trolls.. lol
