Set up ???

I have a 24”x 24”x 56” grow tent, like to set it up with a 250w cfl grow light, 4x14 air filter, 4” in line fan

will this set up work to grow 3 may be 4 pot plants ???

I wouldn't go 2, it would take a fair amount training to get 2 to fill a square properly. I would go with either one and train to scrog or go with 4 small ones with very short veg time.

Also, you are still a bit weak in lighting. If you are going with just CFL you want 300-450w to put you in the 5000-7500 lumen per square foot range. You can go with a much lower watt light if you choose something more efficient than CFL. CFL gets about 70 lumens per watt vs 90 for T5/T8 vs 120-160 for HPS/MH vs 100-150 for LED (higher in some very expensive options).

400w is too much from HPS, would fry them in that space. 250w HPS + a bit of supplemental lighting would be perfect for you. 250w HPS + 6500k (CFL or Tubes, about 50-75w worth) + 1 UVB 10% reptile bulb (CFL, Tube)

the 6500k can also be 18-24" T8/T5 bulbs for better efficiency.
HPS + 6500k + UVB is the ticket.

I am a big fan of the LED craze, 1 or even 2 CXA3070 cobs in your tent will run cool and Blast you with amazing light for very little watt draw, 2 cxa cobs will only pull around 120 watts total, but give you amazing results, if you dont want to build the cobs, an led light thru marshydro like the old 300watt version will blow away CFLS, you can get the mars light on ebay for right at 100 bucks delivere, I own one, good light

Do you use the same light for veg, and flowering how do you switch from veg, to flowering ?


My tent is small 1 or 2 plant only 24x24x56” will 300w alone is OK ?
