People who know OG's...need advice!!

Hey all,
Hoping for some advice from peeps who know OG's and the cuts going around the US. Im looking to buy some beans that represent the OGs going round. I know they are all crosses bur hoping to find some good representations... @kgp @Mr.Head @Akhimjames
So Ive narrowed it down to the list below. If you could choose 5 strains which would they be?

Casper OG- Archive seeds
Grimace OG- Archive seeds
Face off OG-Archive
Kirkwood OG- Archive
Valley girl- Archive
Cookie wreck x Biker - Karma genetics
Headbanger - Karma
Nightmare OG- Sin City

Im a little hesitant on the Nightmare OG though as Ive popped 5 beans of this already and only 1 sprouted. The blue lime pie i sprouted 5 and got all males and i popped 5 Nightmare cookies and none popped. So Sin City is on my hesitant list at the moment!

Also, if theres any awesome crosses Ive missed, please let me know!

This is just my opinion, and I can't speak on the BX by Raskal, but Fire OG was just that, FIRE! I had the same cut (supposedly) that was used by Raskal. I would definitely consider OGRaskal's Fire OG BX, or maybe Fire Alien Kush.

Also, I've heard enough good about this one strain over the vast amount of bad mouthing this company gets, so I went with a pack of Tahoe OG from CC at the LA Cup. Happy Hunting!

+1 OG Raskal Fire OG, I'm smoking on some right now.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but I've been eyeing Larry Lotus by Bodhi. Larry OG x Snow Lotus, from what I read the snow lotus male adds frost, size and potency while allowing the flavors from the mother to come through. I think it would be an awesome OG cross.

@greywind ive got a pack of buddah tahoe but so far havent been impressed by what ive grown, the beans took ages to pop and a long time to do anything that the rest of my girls were double the size of them after week 3. The smoke was good, I admit but the plants seem to have too many issues for me, maybe unstable...

I hope you find what you are looking for! For OG's KGP is the man to talk to. He may not know every strain out there but he has grown many and can give you proper advice. Or just take a look at his clone only thread.

If I recall correctly, KGP said a strong OG phenotype was found in his pack of Forest Fire by Cabin Fever seeds. Although he did have to sort through some hermies from the pack/s. All from memory, so take it for what it's worth. I recall wanting to try a pack until he started finding the male bits...

In my opinion that face off cut doesn't taste like an OG at all it is very diesil flavored, so I wouldn't go with any of those for an OG maybe nightmare OG?

@greywind cheers, i had the forest fire on my list a while ago but took it off after kgp's hermie reports as well, not real keen on sifting through a few packs to get a lot of hermies.
@Yodaweed thanks mate, got a nightmare og going now so if it comes out nice i'll look to get a couple more.
Im not necessarily after straight OG like OG Kush, just want to try out some of these cuts everyone talks about over there. I appreciate all the feedback from you guys though, its definitely helping the search

I think karma and archive would give you nice options. You pretty much have to pheno hunt until you find something you really like either way. Every strain archive has is similar. Just using different og's, you will have to try them before you will know which one, but I'm sure there will be fire in all of them. All nice picks! Have fun!

you have a great memory for a stoner. Ha ha forest fire was an awesome. Good yielding OG cross. It was easy to grow and has many phenos to choose from. I found a great one that chunked up real nicely. Good structure and support too. But yes, full on she males. Not a ball here or there. this thing was a 50/50 F/FM. Grow with caution.

I ended up going for Grimmace, valley girl, face off bx2, hellraiser and kirkwood from Archive, got half a pack of each so I should hopefully find something nice!

The Karma gear is supposed to be top notch so the fire og should do you well. That one is OG Rascals. I didn't get any Karma yet. I will be satisfied if I get 2 keepers, and the clone should be a sure thing (if my new medical buddy comes through.)

Sucks to hear you had problems with the sin city's. I had 100% success on my 15 buddha's dreams from them, and these last ten I popped were from july 2013.
The first five I got 3 females but these last ten I only got 4 females but that was my fault for stressing them.

Just put them in flower thursday, but they're doing great.

Ah it's not so bad mate, I'm putting it down to my own error, even though I used the same methods I always have, I'd say it was the environment if anything. All good, SinCity are helping me out with some good info for future, so with the blue lime pie's I have left, hopefully I can get a 100% germ rate. All their beans are so big and dark too, real fresh so it had to be my error!
Your buddah's dreams look great mate, I'm sure you'll get some real fire out of them
