I don't get it...Hitler was a Muslim?
that's not surprising.I don't get it...
What do you think about that guys point "it's hateful and wrong, but that's the 1st amendment, we have to accept wrong, hateful speech just as much as good happy speech", and that a bus is a public forum?
I agree that we must allow bigots and racists to have their say. Their own speech usually lets them be known for what they are. What do you think about that guys point "it's hateful and wrong, but that's the 1st amendment, we have to accept wrong, hateful speech just as much as good happy speech", and that a bus is a public forum?
I totally agree. What do you think about that guys point "it's hateful and wrong, but that's the 1st amendment, we have to accept wrong, hateful speech just as much as good happy speech", and that a bus is a public forum?
Well, not necessarily though, right..? I mean, what if you're just a guy who needs to take the bus to get where you're going but don't know these kinds of ads are onboard? What then? What if you do know these ads are onboard, but you still need to get where you're going, and the next bus will make you late?If you take a bus that has this on the side, you are a muslim hater and a bigot.
Sorry, even if you are that guy that somehow HAS to take the bus, then you are not a bigot, but an actual racist. Call a cab, rideshare, bike or walk to work. Maybe even buy a car and learn to drive.Well, not necessarily though, right..? I would say use it if you need to.Sorry, even if you are that guy that somehow HAS to take the bus, then you are not a bigot, but an actual racist. Call a cab, rideshare, bike or walk to work. Maybe even buy a car and learn to drive.
Philly is the city of brotherly love right?
I know about these ads and don't live anywhere near Philly. Most likely people from there know about them because they can see.
You honestly believe that everyone who rides this bus is racist and hates Muslims?Sorry, even if you are that guy that somehow HAS to take the bus, then you are not a bigot, but an actual racist. Call a cab, rideshare, bike or walk to work. Maybe even buy a car and learn to drive.

Why else would they ride that bus unless it was to show their racist solidarity with all the other riders of the bus.You honestly believe that everyone who rides this bus is racist and hates Muslims?
He has a point. Buses are used as public advertisement space all the time. And there is the 1st amendment. What do you think about that guys point "it's hateful and wrong, but that's the 1st amendment, we have to accept wrong, hateful speech just as much as good happy speech", and that a bus is a public forum?

Isn't the bus company owned by the city of Phily? The city transit?Again, here's an example of how abiding by real private property rights would solve a problem .
If the owner of the bus company, truly controlled the bus company, (no usurpation by government) they would be free to say, "no thank you" to the people wanting to advertise things they did not approve of.
Then the Hitler dicks could pound sand or find another person that would accept their ad and those who didn't accept the ad would be free to reject it.
Also, the government is being contradictory when it alleges to protect one right (free speech) when it deprives an owner of another right by forcing them to conduct business with the Hitler people.. (private property right)
A bus is not a public forum, in the sense that the "public" owns it, it is private property.
The one you feel you can swing a 14.5 inch barrel around...quickly.What if you lived in a country that approves of torturing people and imprisons the most people in the world and will steal your house for a plant ? Which bus should a person take then?
Are taxpayer funds used to run the city or the city transit? If you answered yes, then its public.Isn't the bus company owned by the city of Phily? The city transit?
