the seedling that survive, newbie need help.

Hi fellow growers! this is my thread here

I really need a guidance from all of you experts.
I used to have 4 seedling, but I stupidly spray fertilizer onto it and in less than a day they all dried up. I quickly flush them with a lot of water, but sadly only one survive. it survive only from 2 half dried leaf.

as it recovers from major damage, it grows a healthy leafs.

as day goes by I notice that the leaf is turning from dark green to lime green as you can see.

new leaf still grow, but it should not grow this slow.

what I understand from reading some of the thread is that my plant is lacking of nutrients.
so yesterday I try to dilute this fertilizer with a lot of water, as I am afraid to kill the seedling for the 2nd time.View attachment 3372374
this is also the fertilizer that kill the other 3 seedling as I sprayed my seedling before.

from the problem that I have, what do you guys suggest on what should I do?

Best bet w/ seedlings imo is to just dial in your temps / humidity, use a decent medium and stick w/ straight water for a while (and sparingly...moist but not soaked)...them ninjas got food already...thts what the cotyledons are 4 (stored food reserves from seed / provide initial photosynthetic ability for production of new food/starches to develop the plant beyond seedling stage). Before they have developed a decent root system and more mass above ground, they really don't need much, if any, external sources of food/energy to sustain life or growth...Beyond a light source and some water, they don't want anything from you - especially not a foliar feed / fertilization.

I agree it would probably be was easier to get good soil and just water it than trying to find good nutrients in china

where I live, the temp is around 26-30 celcius and humidity reach 89%. at this stage, both my cotyledon leaf dried already. is that normal? Okay I will give them water only for the next few weeks. the Foliar fertilizer is off already.

Little early to lose your cots, but since you have some leaves now they should be able to bounce back. Them lil girls are resilient AF. I've seen plants in worse shape that have came back to produce nice buds w/ some tender loving care from the grower

haha I'm lucky you could understand me then or id have looked pretty dumb! And also you didn't miss out on anything bud in china is pretty bad unless you're in xinjiang or somewhere.

yeap, Right now I use water only once every 2 day. I live in a tropical country where the sun can be really hot. do you think that cause the seedling to turn lime green?

the "lime green" or the lighter green your seeing it common with newer growth. Similarly your older larger leaves will take on darker green. In some cases the abnormal color is a sign of deficiencies.

so this picture I took today, 2 days after my I started this thread. It grows quite well but the colour has not change to darker green yet. this picture was took under intense sun light.





my cotyledon leaf dried up, I am not sure why. but I know it's not normal for a seedling to lose its leaf.


this one is under soft sun light (cloudy sky)

so what do you guys think?
how long until it start its vegetative stage?

Thanks Stephen! from the picture you showed me, it seems that my seedling is lacking of sulfur or nitrogen. but others said not to give nutes to a seedling. should I be worried?

If you dont learn some patience, you might as well quit growing now.
Ease up and relax. It is already in vegetative stage.

I don't think it will ever change its colour back to green its just that the new leaves that sprout will be green, the damage is otherwise already done, for example heres one of my plants that went yellow on me a while ago

Ease up and relax. It is already in vegetative stage.

I have high curiosity and this is a new stuff to me. so that's why I am quite impatient

There is nothing wrong with. Besides you poking and touching and what ever else. There is nothing lacking. Seedlings don't need to be fed. Over water or high temps cause yellowing to. Leave it alone. Walk away and don't look at it for 3 days. Then check.

Seriously, leave it be for a few days.
