Yeah me and the hydro guy talked about res changes and he told me to just pH to 6.5 then add and pH should be 6-6.2 because my girl was drinking like two gallons in a day and a half. the Lucas formula is used in the same ratios as veg and flower right. Can you use kook bloom in flower?
i haven't had to adjust any ph with 8ml micro and 16ml bloom. my tap is about 200ppm with 8.2ph, and when i mix my lucas it comes out to like 1200ppm and i really wish i wrote it down but i THINK 5.9ph i really can't find it in my notes, but i know i wrote it down one time. anyways i never needed to add ph up or down thank god. and yeah, lucas is used from veg thru flower, the same strength.
clones put into 1200ppm do fine. however, make sure you are in HID lights. my mother plants under floro only need lucas ratio of 5ml micro to 10ml bloom. i tried full strength and it was too much nutrients and not enough photosynthesis to work with them, which caused burns.
lucas formula is just a ratio of twice as many bloom nutes as micro, and no grow. i am going to try 4ml/8ml strength some time and see how they do, because if they come out just s good, i can save half the $$ on nutes.
i read in my journal that after their first initial 3 gal setup, once they drank down to one gallon, the ppm's ranged from 1700 to 2500 depending on the strain. at this time, i should have added plain water and checked ppm, but last round i kept adding 1200ppm 8ml/16ml water. all turned out great, no leave burns, plants all came out dank, dispensary quality especially with 2-3 week flush.
i choose hydro over soil any day simply for the perfect flush conditions. that in my opinion is a game breaker. i've had horrible soil tasting harvest before and alot of dispensaries sell terrible bud because flushing in soil is not that easy. its a pain in the ass if your grow room doesnt have cement floors and drains and your pots are over 5 gallons. never again will i drag 6 five gallon buckets to my bathroom, to fill up a gallon jug 90 times. hahaha fuck that. throw them in DWC and they flush perfectly. soil has too many variables, be it the manufacturer or the grower and how they water/flush.
