Ordering Seed

I've been reading, reading, and reading for months. I feel like I'm ready to pull the trigger, but there's the safety thing that still has me nervous. I'd be ordering online, with cash, but I can't send it anywhere but to the address where I live. I've already read a million stories how customs doesn't do anything except send you the "love letter" if they catch it, and no one on that level really cares unless you are ordering enough to fill a warehouse more or less, or have been intercepted several times. I guess I'm more worried about local LEO doing something about it. Is this even a relevant thing to worry about?
I live in northern new england, in a state that has MMJ in, but I won't qualify for their requirements. I also still have to grab the equipment, but I think the only other thing I'll be getting online is my light (LED) and possibly some nutes. I plan on going with giftcards bought with cash for those. Everything else like the enclosure, soil, I'll be doing cash through local gardening stores. I'm not looking to grow a lot either. only 2... MAYBE 3 at a time, and only ordering 10 seeds. It would probably last me until full legalization hits in a few years, as 1/8th lasts me like a month anyhow.
I'm not looking for comfort or doom or gloom. Just realistic opinions on how safe this sounds. I'd love to hear from everyone, but especially from people who do the whole online ordering thing. Thanks in advance for answering a question I'm sure has been asked a billion times already too! Silly that this is a concern to grow a plant that helps me with my ADHD and anxiety.

Yeah man I feel ya. Both times I ordered seeds(been several years) I sweated like a mofo the whole time and I used a money order so it took several weeks. I order stuff off the internet a lot tho. Not just grow stuff and really don't worry much about that. Pretty much everything comes in a plain brown wrapper. Anyway, I also grow other plants as well, so..... At the end of the day, now that legalization is moving forward exponentially fast in many communities, I don't think the Feds and locals in the illegal communities are targeting micro growers. I would still be stealth since you are in a community where it is still illegal, but I would be even more stealth because since it is illegal, if a criminal where to discover what you got going, he might consider the opportunity to knock you over the head and steal your stuff to sell it in the black market.

Good luck bro. Maybe you could get a med card based on anxiety? I dunno man. Just throwing it out there.

P.S. I've only ordered from the attitude, several years ago. But, have heard a lot of good things about Herbies. And they have a sister site called autoflowering.com. And I love auto flowering strains. Just a heads up based on what I've read. I have no real world experience.

First off, thanks for the replies... I asked this question a few days ago on another forum, got 100+ views, and no one answered. I've done some research on where to order from, and I'm pretty confident in that aspect. As for the actual criminals that would do me harm, I'm less worried about them. I plan on telling no one, and it would be super steath, concealed in a locked metal cabinet. I was thinking about a tent, but I'm a family man and the locking aspect is a bonus. It's just the LEO aspect that has me worried. Crazy considering my state has MMJ and decriminalized possession, but I've gone my whole life without ever getting in any type of trouble. It makes me nervous risking that and my families stability now.

just relax brotha. if you stress about being caught dont grow. the paranoia will kill you and your plants! but IMO unless the neighborhood knows and you are a drug dealer you will be fine.

Seeds are the only thing I wouldn't get with cash.

Herbiesheadshop.com comes with a guarantee and replacement policy. in the u.s there is really no guarantee you will get them. But with herbies you won't lose your money.

I've never had a botched delivery, but if I did, i would contact them and prove there was trouble. Then politely change the address. They will treat you right when things go wrong.

I get my seeds sent to my house from crop king. Pay the extra for discrete shipping and mine come in a fake car cigarette lighter, a pen, chapstick, ect... I also pay for 10 seeds and usually get about 5-6 extra. And they come from Canada so I get them pretty quick for where I live.

I don't know about new England being that I live in Oregon where as of 07/01/2015 the recreational use will be legal and you can carry 1 oz on your person. Can give 1oz to any adult over the age of 21. Cuz the Oregon liquor control commission (olcc) runs the show . So if you want to have and consume legally you must be 21 it older. And you can grow 4 plants at one time and have 8oz in your household. Sorry I regress a little sometimes. But anxiety is a legit need for mmj so look into it . A good rule of thumb is not to post your manufacturer's methods of stealth shipping online.

Most company's worth thier salt will not post something conspicuous on your bank or credit card statement.

If you're lucky enough to have a hydro shop in town, pick up thier catalog and order from that. Then pay cash.

Even sears sells grow equipment. You could inquire about shipping to the store because you're worried about theft in your neighborhood or something else like you don't have an address. But once you get this setup you'll have them up and down the coast, is what you tell them.

ok so what is the political climate like where you live. Is it decriminalized or will they through the book at you. If you were to be busted with less than one oz and all you get is a slap on the wrist well then I'd say you don't have much to worry about

Honestly I stressed my first order... the first time they came in a package labeled "appliance repair part" in a fake car cigarette lighter. The cops don't really care about seeds and there's a reason you pay extra for the stealthy shipping. However ordering seeds to your grow area is typically not advised.

We have decriminalization in place already for under an ounce, medical is legal (though very constrictive), and legislature is in place for recreational legalization, but it's unlikely to pass. That said, growing is still not legal.

what I would do now is to start a grass roots style awareness campaign and let every one that enjoys or even just supports the movement that it will not pass if no one votes for it. Speed the word register to vote and vote yes. Then see what happens. That's what happened here in Oregon last time. It failed to pass by like a 2% margin. Next time it came up it was a landslide victory
