The one on the left seems slightly overfed, I'd give it just water for the next couple waterings.

From seed or clone? Seeds can develop at different rates even from the same bud/ genetics. Clones tend to be more uniform in age/ health if everythings going smoothly. Males also tend to grow up faster to get their pollen out... Looks a bit overwatered (maybe a hit of too much N), sometimes the soil packs down even if u potted them the same way. :peace:

Males do grow taller faster, and they pollinate only after 3-6 weeks in flower. This is so the nearby females have 3-5 weeks to produce the seeds...

That said, typically you won't see growth differences until flower, or well into veg.

Weird that every run where I grow out males, the males all grow taller much faster, and I pull them out of flower between week 3-5 and cut them for drying and pollen.

I then often pollinate branches on the females that are still in the same flower run and 4-5 weeks later when I chop them I have seeds. I've done this across numerous strains.

Maybe I'm the only person who makes their own seeds that experiences this, but I somehow doubt it.

I've done several seed grows and for the last 6 cycles have had at least a few seedlings if not a few dozen. I'm pretty good at ID'ing those preflowers. With that being said I have learned not to throw anything that isn't 100% ID'd as male. The reason, 1 round I threw out something that was 90% chance of male, had all the characteristics. 3 weeks later and I look in my compost pile, sure enough that last plant on top was a female. Read up on genotypes and phenotypes. I have a ace of spades that's obviously taking after the Jack side of the genetics and 2 that are on the Black Cherry Soda (?) side. The jack pheno has been so much more vigorous than the rest and is twice as big.

Why does it not make sense for a male to be taller? They are more vigorous so the are able to drop pollen.
Man its weird this is my first auto flower grow and one is doing great after a month one is female very small after a month and the male was only three weeks old when i pulled it probably wont do autos anymore
