Can anyone help with my plants? is out wrong with them?

Ok not too sure about ppm unfortunately like I say I'm a bit of a novice. But i do measure my nutrients correctly, don't over water, hours of light correct and I check the ph, which I thought would be good enough. How do I do this ppm thing?
You need a ppm meter. Its one of the most important tools to get a good idea what your plant is going through in the root zone. Ppm in soiless and hydro is very important because the plant relies on you to make up or down adjustments to its needs at the different stages of growth and the increasing height of the plant.

Or an ec meter* sorta the same thing, parts per million vs. Electrical conductivity. It just tells you what % of your solution is fertilizer and whats water.

Ok cheers I will buy a ppm meter, can I alter any harm done to my plants? Will they revert to normal/healthy plants?

Don't I already know how much ferterlizer is in my water by measuring out the recommended amount 3.5ml A&b nutrients for example

This is what i suggest. Keep vegging. Get that ppm meter. Then when you get it, mix your nutes up like you have been and ppm it. To see what you have been giving them so far. This will tell you if your over or under or just right. Then take the ppm of your run off. Thatll tell you whats in your root zone and if you need to flush or add more food. In soiless you need to feed all the time. Like every watering almost, you can skip a couple if your running rich but not many. And as that plant grows taller you need to feed more, and in stretch she needs more, and in bulkening it needs more, and in ripening it needs less. See? Ppm and ec ;)

Nah, it doesnt have to be a deficiancy, and theres no gaurentee its not lock out either. If hes not emptying his runoff and its reabsorbing it could be lockout caused by root zone saturation, not ph lockout. Theres always a ton of things it could be and with only a picture its tough to really diagnose any problem 100%. All you can do is try and narrow down the grower errors the best you can. He said his lights were at 12 ", now thats too close. Fix. Theres a good chance hell say he has no idea what the ppm hes been running is, so that needs to be taken into account. Plants dont come with dip sticks and its even harder through a screen to tell, so ya.
Ok cheers, man this is complicated.
How do I know what the optimum ppm is for my plants? And when I measure my run off how do I know what it should be? I had intended blooming in the next ten days, is it a good idea to wait and get them to the correct ppm. I've just been looking at what ppm should be and everyone says different. Some start at 600ppm in week 1 and go right up to 1900 ppm in week 8 of veg.

Have just ordered a ppm meter. Hopefully I'll be able to monitor more closely what I'm doing. Does anyone know what ppm I should have? I'm in week 6 of veg.

Ok ... I use this simple range for soil ( ppm ) works ok.

Veg stage : 500 - 700
Flip 12/12 stage ( early flower ) : 700 - 900
Flower : 1000 to 1500/1600

Hydro is different ( I use FFOF ) but if you are ready to flip don't forget to flush.
Do you have a feed chart from the nute maker ?
Are you using RO WATER or Tap or well ?
I rope in the water first - I Ppm it to see what my base starts at.

How long you gonna veg them ?
Hey, I'm using coco and have a nutrient chart from my Dutch grow pro nutrient pack, that I have followed religiously. I had planned to flip to bloom in 7-10 days. I dint know I had to flush them between veg/bloom stage, but I will do this now. I have been using tap water that I let rest for 24 hours and I ph it after I have added my nutrients (5.8-6.0).

I had planned to bloom them for 7-8 weeks so should imagine they are gonna be big. Hopefully by adjusting the ppm now and monitoring my Dutch go pro bloom nutrients A&b + explode things should turn out good. Should I start my ppm at 500-700 for the last week of veg then up it as suggested?

It all depends on the size of the plants. The little ones like four inches tall only need like 300 ppm. One foot tall needs about 400. Two feet high 5 to 550. Three feet high id go with 750 -800. And then when you flip the plant starts consuming more food naturally regardless of the height. How much you feed is all in relation to how big the plant is. If you flip your plants at six inches tall and then feed them 1000ppm youll burn the hell outta them. And if you are vegging until you fill 20gallon pots and grow five footers in veg then 1000ppm in flower may not be enough.

Hey yeah, I'm starting to understand a little more now cheers. My plants are like foot and half to two foot and fairly bushy, as I've topped them and super cropped them so they have a lot of growth. When I get my ppm meter I'll start on 500-550 and go from there. I have been told good things about the Dutch go pro nutrients I have, so as long as I get the ppm, ph and nutrient levels correct for the next 8 weeks it should be good. You think they would put what ppm the plants should be on the nutrient chart.

Thats a sticky thing to dictate on a lable....some guys grow with cfls, some with 1000w hids. Some guys over water and they stunt the plants growth so week five of veg the plant is only where it should be at week three. Its all grower talent and expirience bro. Practice makes perfect. Im almost at the point where i can not even measure the nutrients, i just turn the spout on the gallon jugs and i know exactly what the ppm is going to be in the water. But ill probably never stop measuring lol

Yeah I guess I'll just have to try and follow the guidelines and see where I get, but least I've got a ppm meter on the way and my plants aren't looking too shabby. It's more of a science than I thought, but must be worth it when you get in the groove. Cheers for the advice. I'll load some pics up in a couple of weeks.

Awesome man, ya, its a groove and when you get it going you fly. Most peoples first grow is about learning. I learned first and then grew. Dwc, two six hundreds, i killed it with almost a pound a light. Quote me in on a post or send me an @Alienwidow and id be glad to see the update.
