sorry-my-space-bar-is-broken.
i-am-growing-chilli-plants(yes-really-chilli-plants)-indoors-under-lights-but-some-of-the-seedlings-leaves-have-turned-black.
i-first-saw-this-when-they-were-on-the-windowsill-oneof-them-developed-black-leaves-however-since-putting-them-under-lights-a-lot-more-of-then-have-gone-the-same-way.
mysetup:
Lumatek-dimmable ballast-Bulb-600w-hps & Lumii Maxii reflector
10-x-cfl-
cooling-with-a-portable-air-conditioner-pointed-at-the-plants-and-between-the-plants-and-light-and-a-fan.
600w-bulb-was-20"-above-plants-but-last-week-i-moved-it-to-28"-cfl's-are-6"-above-plants.

i-put-a-digital-thermostat-in-there-and-have-kept-the-temp-between-21-and-27-c.

under-the-lights-i-water-them-once-a-day-at-about-6to8pm-and-the-soil-is-mostly-dry-by-this-time-bearing-in-mind-the-air-conditioner-dehumidifies-aswell-as-cools

this-is-my-first-year-growing-and-i-need-some-help.

is-the-problem-too-much-heat-or-light-or-disease?

this-morning-i-decided-to-put-them-back-on-the-windowsill-from-sunrise-to-sunset-then-back-under-lights-for-6-hours.
what-should-i-do?
any-help-would-be-greatly-appreciated-thanks-in-advance

What's the running temperature of that room?

Cold temps bring out the dark colors, i.e. lack of photosynthesis and chlorophyll gets weakened.

50 - 60 degree F brings out a lot of dark colors on plants.

the plants have started recovering now thanks guys!
Are starting them inside to put them out later? if so its ok but if you want to fully grow them inside then they will never flower under HPS. They will only produce under 6500K. Cannabis flowers with light cycle. Pepper, tomatoes, ect. flower with different light color. I had a hot pepper in my flower room for about a yr. and nothing. moved it in to my veg room under MH light and it took right off

my lamp is dual spectrum hps "The fantastic new Lumatek 600w Dual Spectrum Bulb is first of it's kind to be built specifically for 660w Digital ballasts. Where other bulbs would lose efficiency & life-span if switched between 400w, 600w & Super Lumens; this superb new bulb from Lumatek can emit up to 90,000 Lumens for an incredible 24,000 hours of AMAZING grow-room results!"
also my ballast supports both mh and hps so i might buy a mh lamp.
i am a little confused i thought mh for flowering and hps for veg i assume veg is developing leaves and roots and flowering is flowering and fruiting

Read my post again. You are growing a hot pepper plant. Cannabis flowers under HPS not hot peppers.
If you put the hot pepper plant under HPS light only it wont make peppers. Its the wrong light spectrum and tells the plant the seasons over. veggies and cannabis are not the same. You can grow different spices in with your plants if thats what your trying to do. Or leave them in the veg.
