Slow at the start

Why does every grow Iv done in the last few years take so long?!

Clones root in 1-2 weeks I put them in a cube. Wait till the roots show again then straight into the flood and drain pots. Nothing happens for 3-4 weeks then they go beast mode... big healthy plants with perfect leaves, the end result is good. It just takes a month too long :(

The only thing I can put it down to is the water board has been digging and messing about in a feild down the road for ages. White powder/ crystal also collects on top of the pebbles- its definitly from the water and it never used to happen. Surely if the water is bad the plants would struggle all the way through? Id put it down to a build up of something if the plants showed any symptoms but they dont.

Also Iv got a mother thats been alive for over a year (in soil) and thats ok.

Anyone got any ideas...

lack of light
I do keep the lights near the top of the tent at the start. But I have 2X MH 600 w in a 2M tent so I dont think they could handle it if I go lower too soon. My plants never stretch either?

Would low humidity cause a 1 month stall?

Guess I cant complain as Iv turned into a very lazy grower over the years, just wish I could go back to 3 month do's. I never check... PH and Temp. I guess Im just lucky with the PH because even when I used to check it, it was always OK- never had neut defects in 7+ years... I just change the water every week and top up tank when needed (thats my complete involvement in the full grow nowadays LOL!) Temp I cant do anything about so I dont even have a thermometer anymore :)
