thats actually a pretty good idea bro, to be honest, i could get away with growing a few metres away anyway since i have an unlimited source of water :D
Nothing to lose ? Even if u did hike in a couple bags of soil to help them start of good...

Cheers bro! :)

Yeah, fuck it, I'm going for it!

Luckily the sun hits my area directly for about 8-10 hours anyway, so I should be fine with that :) I may plant just off the stream anyway because the soil is also damp... I'm guessing the moisture from the little pond makes the surrounding soil wet too. The soil there looks 'useable'... in your experience, is clay-ish soil good for MJ?

It's more like a mediterranean place ;)
I personally wouldn't grow in a clay based soil......but if you're willing to do a little extra work you can remove the clay and put your soil in and give it a try......but you need to realize that a good rain may raise the level of the stream and wash away your work. I'd back off the creek a ways and look for a suitable spot . Your area does look nice though!

Yeah I'll probs take your advice and play it safe, I have enough water anyway so I'll be fine to plant 10+ metres away from the pond... and I'll def be posting pics of the area and progress soon. I'll probs have a grow journal up so I'll post a link to it on this thread so you can get a notification once I get properly started in a few weeks time! :D

If you can get a patch in below your water source there will be no hauling water....run a hose from your stream down to your plants the further down you go the more pressed you get.

Sunshine is important. Don't put your girls so close to the stream that the native plants steal the light. Good luck.
