Are My Sugar Punch Plants Ready for Harvest?

Below are trichome pics of my Sugar Punch plants. The breeder advertises a 9-10 week flowering time. But it's only day 60. Three days shy of the minimum advertised 9 weeks. And I started counting days the first day I flipped to 12/12.

But also worth mentioning is that I let the plants reach full sexual maturity, and then some, before I flipped to 12/12.

Are they ready? Sooner than the breeder said they would be?

Looks like they can go longer, but you can take a few buds now to see what the difference is now and in a few more days...

It's a highly variable strain. I have a phenotype that is done at 7 weeks and it's stellar. I have another that is done at 11. So it could very well be finished.

n00b way of harvesting.

show us the plant, we'll know if it's ready or not.
Why thank you UncleBuck for offering help. Hairs were golden, calyxes were bulging, trichomes were about 20% amber (my preference). So I harvested tonight. At day 63 of flowering.

My fingers are very, very sticky right now.

How do you determine when to harvest?

Here is the final product from 3 Sugar Punch plants grown from seed in a 3.75 x 3.75 x 8 grow room under a 600-watt Hortilux Super HPS. I used Super Soil, and nothing but tap water (un-ph'ed) the entire grow. No additional nutes or additives of any kind.

Sugar Punch is not a huge producer. But she sure does smell sweet, and gets you high as hell. I'll grow her a couple times a year forever.

swollen calyxes, leaves swallowed by flowers, slightly golden hue, cessation of swell, etcetera.
Thank you.

Do you ever look at the magnified trichomes for clear/cloudy/amber, at your personal preference? Or do you just go by a macroscopic view of the plant?

And when you grow a strain you've never grown before, do you harvest based upon the same criteria as strains you've grown before?

From your pic's, it still appears that you have a lot of clear trichomes.........I bet it would have been 30%+ stronger if you gave it another 1-2 weeks.
