A couple responses back I did just that (see pic). It has helped.

it would depend on the size of the intake, a good rule of thumb is for an 8" exhaust fan you want 2 8" passive intakes. This ensures you maintain a negative pressure within ur room.

I'm still running on the edge with this set up. I think a 6 inch system would do much better and give me some head room to work with.

I should add that I'd be okay if I want to only use the T5 lights For the entire grow. The LED puts out much more heat so I'd need to bump up to 6 inch for that.

Your yield will suffer with T5s. The rigid type ducting is best, but more trouble to install. 6 in might be the way to go.

The exhaust intake needs to be as close as possible to the ceiling as possible (where all the hot air is)

In the pic it looks like you have it on the floor where all the cool air is...

Your cool air should enter the room as close to floor as possible and as far away from the heat exhaust as possible.

This way you have cool air coming into the room from floor level, moving across your room, and the hot air is removed efficiency. Good luck.

I'm trying my Mars Hydro 2 900w LED. Temps are holding at 75F. I'm realizing just how powerful ambient temps influence grow room temps. We had a heat wave when I tested it before. Hope this works.
