there has to be a reason he's there...it ain't because he has a pretty face or a charming personalityAt least Barrick Gold's investors got a warning so they can bail before Baird screws that up too. Any company that would hire a CON is as corrupt as they get.
because he has contacts with the right peoplethere has to be a reason he's there...it ain't because he has a pretty face or a charming personality
A little reward for top level influence peddling.because he has contacts with the right people
Or collect a very generous pension for putting in 8 years service99% of politicians put their time in (not like politics pays well) to eventually do one of 2 things. Become a senator which is essentially a free ride for life + some, or get enough high profile contacts to essentially do the same thing when they get out of politics by getting board positions. The 1% are either stupid, or rich and not in it for the money.
He will fit right in.he had to leave office sooner than later so that his pension was locked in at a better position than it would have been had he stayed on and got shuffled out of cabinet once the election is over. now he can double dip by working a plush job in the private sector. i wonder how the private sector will put up with him being an arrogant prick...
