First of all before you ask about the sand, Im growing in normal potting soil and i noticed a fungus gnat (non-flyer thank goodness) so i recently watered H202 +normal ph'd water solution to hopefully kill any larvae and covered the surface of the pot with an inch of sand as the teenaged gnats cannot crawl through it (apparently)
Lights are 2 x 90W ufo LED's (over the auto's) and about 140W of CFL 2 6500k and 4 2700k over my fem's.
Strains 1x Jack Here auto-fem 1x Early Miss auto-fem 2x Cali Purp Fem'd
Does everything look okay here ?

Flyers are harmless. The larva are what you should be concerned about, they destroy your roots.

:bigjoint:yes but they must have come from my bargain-bill soil. larvae-pupae-nonflyer-flyer. h202 is supposed to kill the larvae so i believe i have effectively sealed them in their own tomb even if the dose was not strong enough to kill them they won't be emerging any time soon. :D

Update 1 auto and 1 purp show signs of Root Stress Ie curling of the leafs. im thinking those larvae i trapped in their are having a schmorgeous-borg on my poor seedlings! . if they break through my sand-tomb barrier i'm just going to drop the investment in some natural Predatory Nematodes as they will search-and-destroy these little larvae buggers. havent noticed ANY flyers though. doing okay so far...

What the hell are you doing? Thats not what to do with fungus gnats. Thats stupid. Cummon man. Those plants are going to be laughing at you for a while when you figure it out.

Stupid? It's called a preventative measure and its working so whats so stupid about it?. example..the inch of sand keeps them from getting at/laying eggs in my growing medium as it is soil.
Also the peroxide and water solution(strong) is giving my roots much needed oxygen and burning the shit out of any larvae that might be munching on those root-hairs. Cummon man what are YOU doing. give me advice rather then just point out that this is not normally what you do to stop fungus gnats. what would YOU do bbuddy? other then head straight to the store hahah.

If you had any idea on the life cycle of fungus gnats you would KNOW that females can lay up to 1000 eggs in her lifetime so preventing this is the first step..Obviously :lol:

Ok, your watering hydrogen peroxide into your root zone and claiming its giving the plant much needed oxygen? You care to elaborate on this idea a little more. Ill pull the popcorn out and grab a chair. Maybe when your done well all water peroxide into our plants.....but i sure doubt it ;)

lmao whats up with 3 gallon buckets with sand lol
Its just a veg room so veg pots.. until they need something bigger it will do just fine.
i know i shouldnt transplant my little autos from their pots to bigger pots..but its gonna need more root space and as long as its not flowering i think ill be fine. i've grown autos before. ALSO el sauve, if you would take the time to READ the first post it clearly says that its just a top layer! 1 inch!
