I'm gonna start a thread for people to just list their viewpoints on American politics and why it is in turmoil. List what reasons on any subject ( education foreign policy , healthcare , etc . What could be changed and why . ?

ruling class vs peasants.

reason: income disparity until we get real in a few centuries when the GOP dies out and we can have a model of social capitalism..nordic model.

i thank the GOP for their bubble politics..they have no idea what the rest of america truly thinks and keep shooting themselves in the foot.

As of October 2014, Gallup polling found that 43% of Americans identified as Democrats and 39% as Republicans, when party "leaners" were included; those figures changed to 41% Democratic and 42% Republican after the November 2014 elections

Yes, listen up,...the latest insistence is that only Democrats truly know how the rest Of America thinks.

That`s what I got.........

too much money involved in politics, which means politicians on both sides of the fence are willing to sell their souls to get voted in, and when they do, they are now enslaved to the people who got them there in the first place..
take the money out of politics would be a good first step..

tell that to the mittster who lost by a landslide..instead of the landslide win that was projected.

one thing the press hasn't figured out..while they're whipping up and sensationalizing..people are smarter than they are being given credit for and will still vote their conscience regardless of 'polls'.

Politics will always create turmoil. By design it pits people against each other, all wrestling for the control of the gun, so they can make people do things "their way".

Changing the "leaders" may change things a bit.. for awhile, but it really only masks symptoms and does not address the root causes.

The problem is that politics by its nature uses coercion. Things that are based in coercion can never achieve any lasting peace, it's impossible, since once coercion is part of something, the possibility for peace has been extinguished.

In other words a polished turd is still a turd.

Fuck. I actually agree with you on something.
This doesn't make sense, I just checked outside, and I don't see any flying pigs. Something is wrong with the matrix.

Now.. the rest of what you said is nonsense. But we already established that. (In that, you think what I say is nonsense, and I think what you say is nonsense)

Look again, pigs fly in helicopters these days.

Adding money to politics is a very good business decision. The amount of money donated by lobbyists is a pittance in comparison to the benefits they often receive.

So that leads me to think that, once again, it's the midgets flexing their powerful, little muscles..

All this talk of guns and coercion from feudalists is depressing. Ayn Rand is influencing the thread via some cheetoh fingered neckbeard.
Almost the first of the month and the eagles gonna shit. Can you hang on for another day or two on those two boxes of Ramen Noodles you have left before your extortion money arrrives?
