Growing in coco/perlite, how to include silicon ,calcium and magnesium..

Hi, so I have 50/50 mix of coco/perlite, I am using Canna A+B.
So I just planted my clones and thought to start with 1/4 strenght of Canna A+B , so I added
nutes to get my EC to 0.6 then added as an extra calcium 29 ml and 29 ml magnesium, I had filled only around 65 liters water to my tank, + added silicone+ what it did it lifted my EC to around 1.0 what is still not too bad
but I was supprised that silicone would increase the EC value,(did pre mix it in separate container).
So my question is : should I lets say put my basic nutes to desired value of EC and then add silicone ,calcium and magnesium and not worry too much what the EC is after that, or should I take in consideration the other additives
and use less of the basic nutes in this case Cannna A+B and have the final EC value as desired ?

And if somebody could recomend the recipe of how much for 100 L. water to
add: Canna A+B , Silicone+ ,Calcium ,Magnesium
These are quite strong clones around 25-27 cm in height, looking a bit pale green in color
and some leaves showing some mild tacoing but other vise all good....sorry no pics
Just planted them 2 days ago...2x 600w hps , water chiller, airpump, Hydroguard, fan...

1.0 EC for 25-27 cm clones might be a little too hot at that stage ,you should keep it around .4-.7 until at least 30 to 45cm. With the silicone I usually add that first before base nutrients then cal-mg ,silicone will definitely raise your ph so when you at it first then the rest of the nutrients it should bring it down especially if you add an enzyme product.

When I do my mix I end up with a PH of 5.9-6.4 if its between that I don't adjust at all ,I'm also in coco with added perlite I would highly recommend to add worm castings to your mix about 70% coco 20% perlite 10% worm castings, that will add some good beneficial bacteria. With silicone I usual add 3-5 ml to every 3.75 liters exactly the same with cal-mg with your canna a+b I've heard good things with 10ml per 3.75 liters the entire way. Remember you can go light and feed often or go heavy and feed less often, like to go with less because you can always add more but its hard to take back. hope this helps!!

Thanks Kali Kid, I will read carefully your suggestions, the ph is not the question since I can always add some ph- but the real
question is the EC dilema because if the added Silicon+ supplement has an effect on that value then it is a bit wierd how to adjust
nutes . Even you put the nice 10ml/gallon and othe vise it would be a healthy EC value, so after the Silicon+ it sky rockets to an unhealthy one...I actually did use that 10ml/3.78 liter water formula...but the silicone put it up to that 1.0

I was being a smart ass :) a lot of folks don't know what perlite is.

My research says perlite does not break down easily, it would take a long time in a neutral or alkaline solution, but will break down in an acidic solution. So its ineffective as a supplement.

Yep yep...but now you are still confusing me ,that do you understand of what product I was talking about ..(+you might also confuse some readers)....so forget the perlite..thats not the Silicon we are talking about...even that is mixed in my coco..

This is what we are talking about : http://www.cannabis.info/uk/library/5474-the-marvels-of-silicon/
Yes I understand. I've never had a need for it. I've not seen a great study on it, your link reads like an ad to me. I'm sure someone else will chime in with the answers you want. Good luck!

Try using dyna-gro protekt silicon solution it doesn't raise the E.C much . On the bottle it says 1tsp =.1-.2 E.C of silicate, this is the silicon I'm using and it doesnt seem to raise the E.C much, but I always add first as recommended that could be the issue your having the way your mixing it could cause a raise but don't quote me on that. Try a lower dose I find myself using only 3ml/gallon and my garden is strong and healthy.

Plants are carbon based, not silicon.

There has been no evidence of silicon deficiency in any plant, which is why it's not considered an essential element.
