My mother went for training classes to get her lic. to carry years ago..she was told , by a police instructor, if you're on the second floor and you have access to a porch roof that's less than 10 ft off the ground, you are supposed to go out the window and jump off the roof rather than confront the intruder..if the law feels you had a " safe escape"( such as that roof scenario..can you see a 60 yr old woman jumping from a 10' roof???) but you decided to confront the intruder , you the homeowner, can be charged with assault or more. I told her it doesn't take much to cut yourself and put a knife in their dead hands..

if it does drag them back inside and hit the area outside with bleach or ammonia and make sure to plant a knife or something (wipe your prints before planting)

if u have a shot gun may i say the first round use a thunder blank(standing in front of the barrel for this possible permit eardrum damage/ will be dazed for sure) second round a bean bag or something (does not kill them in case mistaken but will drop anything with in 30 yards except a bear or bull) and the 3rd round a armor piercing or explosive ( it is on mother fucker)

In Colorado, things are a bit different. The police came and knocked on my door, answering a smell complaint. I showed them my paperwork and we went and had a thorough tour of my op.

It turns out I was in violation of a city ordinance banning more than twelve plants at a given address. I was given thirty days to come into compliance. This was my only violation, as my documentation was in order and I was within my approved count limits.

They were very nice and respectful, and offered to help ensure my carbon filter worked properly once I'm within compliance.

The last time this happened was twenty years ago, and resulted in a felony.

I think this is called 'progress'.

Really that's amazing haha I think I'd of shit myself even if I was in a legal state just cause the sheer fact in my experience cops screw me over but that is great progress congrats on the cool story

In this State, recent stink was upheld because of smell. The neighbors said "That's a grow house!!! I can smell it." The cops shrugged. It is not illegal to grow here if you have a card, like me. So, the neighbors filed suit. Constructive nuisance they said, sure to bring crime.

The Courts shrugged, said, Denied, and awarded court cost and other damages to the grower.

That's what made the news.
