What is the disagreement with that viewpoint? There seems to be some disagreement with your viewpoint. true debate calls for backing this up, bu thanks for starting it off
Our governments private agenda's and land interests have nothing to do with the Islamic faith. So why don't you "debate" instead of saying "hey, interesting standpoint....not right, but read this....." How about no. If your interested in a convo, go ahead and speak your mind not quote a book that is fun to read.Read,
"aid to isreal rape of an american taxpayer"
it is an interesting conversation though
DING DING DING!!!i keep close company with islamic palastinians....and they have taught me alot about the islamic religion and arabic culture over the years and i do follow some islamic beliefs...but just like any other religion or belief system you have the nut jobs....but because of americas campaign against anything other than christianity we only see the evil of islam over here and not the good...what isnt talked about are the terror and attrocities carried out in the name of cristianity and catholocism.....9/11 has nothing on the crusades...

I own a copy of the Koran and I fond a lot in it that contradicts it's self.
But then again so does the Christian bible.

I watched that too! It was FASCINATING, especially the part about interpretations of Sharia law. I almost had to turn the tv off when they had the little girl being circumcised on, though.. God.. I felt the same way I did when I had to allow my boys to be circumcised, I still get choked up thinking about it.We read a little in a Philosophy of religion class. Its interesting in that it was written for Arabic, and every word can have upto 30 translations, meaning as soon as you translate it it loses meaning. In fact, once it is translated it is not considered a Quran anymore. (Citation, National geographic last night LOL )
Sorry yea i could have been clearer. I do have a viewpoint but i find it interesting to listen to other's firstMy bad, you shoulda said it was a thread, "" mean a book or magazine right? some shit like that.
Why should you have not started this thread? I thought you might have a view point you'd like to share? Guess i was wrong.

You hit the nail on the headIt's the people not their belief. Blind idealism is them enemy of truth and freedom. The sad part is idealist usually have good intentions. I believe that people should come before ideals and principles. If we forget people we might as well all strap bombs to our chests. No matter what I believe in I will always put compassion for people above my small minded ideas about how the world "should" be. I was not always this way but I have lost loved ones to people who like sheep follow blind ideals to the ultimate detriment of themselves and others. One small act of kindness at a time, no human is perfect.
