It's a strange time here for being able to legally grow weed though.
You'd have to work for a Licensed Producer, who are currently doing a kinda shit job when it comes to legally providing patients with medicine. On a good note, since they seem to be sucking hard at growing their websites are often advertising jobs for experienced growers. And THEY really want to see a degree in horticulture.
Depends what your timeline is. This is the way things are now, but potentially in October of 2015 we will vote in a new government who say they want to legalize marijuana across the board and regulate it.
Compassion clubs here obviously have growers and they are definitely the more patient-friendly option for growing as a profession. But they're in a grey area of legality and there would be potential risks.
Or, you could just grow illegally and do what you want with it. Sell it, give it away, whatever.
BC is beautiful, but pretty expensive to live compared to other parts of Canada.
