I do not believe that a homosexual person is any less physically or mentally able to perform a job. However, the US Govt has not seen fit to include sexual orientation as a protected class under the Civil Rights Act and others. The main goal of the morons in Indiana is to protect themselves from the government eventually including homosexuals as a protected class. The second goal, as i see it, in passing that law, is to build up support from their blind and ignorant base. (they 'think' their lawmakers did something to make them happy) The law means absolutely nothing now.. it grants them no right to discriminate and changes nothing as it is today. They think they're slick, but one stroke of Obama's pen and that State law will be superceded by Federal law and they'll all just have to go pound sand.

Why/why not?

Do you believe this law has to do with religious freedom or civil rights?

If you believe it has to do with religious freedom, where do you draw the line? What if your religion says X, Y or Z? Do we grant people the right to perform whatever X, Y and Z are just because it's their religion? What if X is rape, Y is murder, and Z is theft? At what point do the rights of other citizens supercede the rights of those who are religious?

Trick question, what kind of job>? As a bible salesman>? or do they work for a Christian at a mcdonalds or something that does not require the person to be hired to be religious?

What if the job opening was a movie ,,and it was about John Wayne? should the producer be forced to hire a Asian to play John Wayne?
The Asian might be totally qualified , a great actor and all, but hes not 6 ft tall and white? what then?
What if the Asian looked just like John Wayne but spoke terrible English and his John Wayne voice sounded like Hop Sing on Bonanza?

seriously? that clip is SO edited and cropped who knows how many times the guy offered an alternative to the writing he was asking for.

what he said in the beginning, about it being illegal to refuse service to Kanye simply because he is black, but refusing to print offensive language on a cake Kanye is ordering is perfectly fine, was the best part of the piece. I never heard the baker refuse to bake the cake, I did hear him refuse to print language that he found offensive.

In a true free market one would be allowed to discriminate in any way he/she/it wishes. But the rules are that we are not supposed to discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religious affiliation. Being an atheist is in my opinion a religious affiliation.

I don't know why there is such a kick in discrimination, loving each other is much more constructive than hating and excluding.

you're right I know builders that work over in germany. I know Irish families that have worked over there. The work attracts travellers from around Europe. Travellers bring their own culture. This influx of different cultures dilute the indigenous culture of the land. Germanys wirtschaftswunder is a bubble about to burst.
