Top dressing peat moss lower ph?

was wondering if top dressing with peat moss would lower ph of coco. I have top dressed coco with growilla bud and the mediums ph is 7.4.

Growing in coco coir with botanicare growilla nutrients it's organic it's got bunch of different organic ferts blended into veg and bloom formula

I would not consider this to be using the soil food web. So I'll have to digress to anyone else with experience in this style of growing.
