It aint cheap to legally distribute to the public , i dumped over $300k into opening a co-op & i wasnt the only investor , the price woulda been much higher if our real estate business didnt allready own the commercial bldg used for the grow .

A million is about right in areas where there is heavy competitor presence.

The co-op's cost to produce one lb of top shelf is roughly $50 .

$300K in colorado and you wouldn't have a single plant growing to show for it.
 
So a 'collective' forms to produce and distribute cannabis in a region that's legal. They invest $750,000.00. It costs them $50.00 to produce one lb of herb. A private grower without investment can produce the same amount of cannabis, higher quality I might add, for lets say $900.00 a lb. They add on their cost of living making the total $1500.00 a lb. The collective sells their commercial product at $1400.00 undercutting the private grower by $100.00.

The private grower attempts to compete not realizing it's costing the collective 50.00 to produce a lb. The private grower goes out of business and the collective raises it's price. I thought we were all supposed to be cool stoners and shit? It's clear that much of the current turmoil in the industry is the desperation of these investors just trying to get back their $750,000.00

does that 50$ a pound pay your bank note or even start to cover the cost of the auto trimmer??
a large company takes into account EVERY hr and charges itself . that is how cost of production works . 50$ a pound at 15$ per hour is only 3 hrs of care and 5$ for nutes water an soil....thats fucking cheap without the rent and taxes taken in consideration
 
My boss opend a dispencary for 400,000$ and thats including lights and everything else plus edible stamp plates, sadly it didnt work out due to fake papers and alot of other shit
 
About 250-300 per pound indoor. say 9 plants under a 1000, 50 gallons of soil $40, 3 months electric bill 200, nutrients around $50. Time investment well thats where the cost comes in lol.
 
Most of you sound like morons saying it cost upwards of a million to start a dispensary. I could build a grow producing well over 50lbs monthly for under 100k. no way your investing more then 250k on shit for a dispensary most of them are a couple of rooms with jars and clear glass show cases lol. People listen to ignorance to much.
