cheapest and easiest way to clone

hey guys Im just wondering what your thoughts are on this one?

I currently grow 12/12 from seed and I DO TAKE CLONES
Im just wondering what your thoughts are on this one?

My light is on from 5am to 5pm giving 12 hours light using a 400 hps
I get up in the morning at 5 am and take my clones out as the hps light goes off (which i put in my flowering room at 5 pm the night before) and once out i put them in a small cupboard and i put them under 2 x 18watt daylighters or even the window sill if the weather is nice and return them back into the flower room I repeat daily. Im getting decent results plus saving ££££s

Id also like to know... Ive tried to do my first clone, didnt turn out so well. It was a mistake i made with an autoflowering plant that was wel into flowering, i accidently broke off a branch so i decided to try and clone it. Didnt work out so well and died shortly after putting it in soil. For my first actual attempt to clone, what do i need? Id like to do it with no cloning gel if possible. Any suggestions?

I have a near 100% success rate.
1.) Cut the clone and immeidately put in water. Cut off the plant at 90 degree angle. One at a time.
2.) Mix MG Seed Starter with about 30% extra perlite. Dampen. Get solo cups and cut some holes in the bottom. Fill cups abot 1/2 way. Put small hole in center.
3.) one at a time, cut off any extra foliage from cutting. Slice stem at 45degree angle. Dip in rooting gel/powder. Place in cup.
4.) Take a baggie and place a small slit in the bottm. Mist water in it and place over the top of the cup.
5.) Place on a seed mat with some CFLs

From there it is just a question of misting into the baggie every day, watering a bit every few days. Once they start to take, make the slit in baggies larger then a few days later remove.

Grow out a bagseed, photoperiod plant and use it as a sacrificial plant just to learn how to take cuttings off of. I've cloned in dirt, perlite, aero/bubble cloners and just a cup of water with a air line in it. my best luck so far has been dirt and a cup of water/air stone. I'm working on getting a better aerocloner built..I'm fairly convinced this is the way to go. I also like party cups or keg cups, get a solid dark color and a clear one and it makes a little humidity dome setup kind like this..if the clear cup was on the blue cup..

the big thing, and growindad hit on it..have a bowl of clean water when you take cuts and just throw them in there when you cut it off..they can float around in there for quite awhile without having to worry about them...I've left them like that for a few hours..they get kinda droopy but always recovered..I think the extra water they absorb helps the process..but I'm just hypothesizing. oh and keep everything clean,clean,clean..i always sterilize the area I'm working with a 10%bleach solution and wear latex/nitrile gloves when doing clones. I also have a spray bottle of 10% bleach and am constantly wiping my area down and my gloves. and keep your equipment sterilized between cut..or at least between different plants to limit the spread of pathogens,,if that is possibly an issue.

LMAO looks pretty fun, but you can probably do this a little easier and better with mostly whats around your grow area already.
Get a deep clear tupperware dish out the kitchen flip it upside down lid down clear side up to the light. Next put the fresh cut into heavy perlite and a light soil mix in smallest styrofoam cups you can find cut in 1/2 and drain holed, push a pencil down in the middle to set the cutting in the whole & backfill it. Repeat this until desired # of cuttings are taken and planted with or without gel/powder it will work and grow with right conditions.Then set them on the upside down tupperware lid and water with or without rooting solution and place the clear part back onto the lid without snapping in and place under a single Compact 100w fluorescent or better light. This is a easy cheap way I used for years and once you dial it in with 85f temp and rewatering when needed but not too much, than you can get 100% success. Cheers mates

Buy some fine grade Vermiculite, 26w CFL, 4 oz plastic cups, and some cloning gel not needed but it HELPs. All this can be purchased from walmart for $30 or less. Take a pen and poke holes in the bottom of the cups and then fill the cup with Fine grade vermiculite and put your cutting in the middle of the cup with exposed cut buried under the verm. Then once everything is finished put the cup in a half cut milk jug or pot and pour ph'd water of 5.5 with 1/4 of nutes in it until the bottom 2 inches of the outside of the cup is covered in water. The verm will slowly wick the water up into the stem. 100% rate everytime. Just never let the water completely run out from the bottom of the cup or the cutting will dry out. Put the 26w CFL 12 inches above cuttings

Something isn't quite right IMO if you are 7 weeks along buddy. I think maybe you need a little fresh air with more C02 rich air flowing in that grow box otherwise the plant suffers and slows down like this. Also drop them lights down closer. You can probably get them as close as 3-4"s away without overheating since their CFLs. I know certain Phenotypes can be slower like this but I can see that is a good K.C Brains and you should get it to jump here real soon.

Its only a small grow i always do 12/12 from seed this allows me to grow a wide variety of straind i only take about 6 clones per grow I wouldnt have the room to fit in 50 clones lol I do 12 plants per grow but going down to 9 now as I think im overcrowding my babies

I've done maybe a dozen clones in the past with just water and soil. It almost always worked too. Cut them put in water right away, solo cup full of basic soil and a good amount of perlite, nice and moist of course but far from soggy. I poke a hole with a toothpick, shave a bit off one side of the cutting, almost like carving a stick to a point but just getting the "skin" off. The new roots will form on the shaven side as well as the bottom. Then just stick it in the hole and lightly pack in the sides. I think I did so well because I had the time to check on them a few times a day. And I always cut the biggest fan leaves in half to reduce water consumption. I used cfl's back then. I would imagine you would have to keep them far away from an HID bulb in the first week or so.
