Seed direct to clay Pebbles?

Hello mates,
I am very interested in looking into this.

Can you plant a germinate cannabis seed in clay pebbles?
I assume you can as its just a medium but how often should you water it?
Should you have something in there to hold the seed from falling through?
Say a piece of paper towel?
Reason I say this is that I am done with soil indoors.
Just generally want to test this.

you could if you wrapped them in rockwool but people tend to do it like potting up ..... Small starter plug then a 3" block in the hydroton

iv put a seed straight to the big pot without potting up with no problems ...... That's what happens in nature

Yes I am aware of rockwool and have a ton on the way
It was just a question mate.
Was just wondering how different mediums work with seed.
Aka Soil/Pebbles/Coco.

Without the use of rockwool plugs meaning just roots.
Was interesting to know if it is possible to plant a seed direct into pebbles wihtout rockwool.
I assume it would need nutrients as its hydro but maybe not until 2 weeks in.
Was jsut an experiment I was going to test with some germed seeds I have.

Test it out I wouldn't germinate all your seeds that way I would use rapid rooters and once tap root pops thought Tare it open and put in collar if using areo medium less grow if not just drop the plug in the hydrotron and roll on , but if your curious try one out g/l

I have rooted seeds currently. I dont have rockwool yet but its on the way and I refuse to use peat. Just want to know if I could put 1 germinated seed with root in pebbles?
I assume it would work if it had enough water.
Just an experiment.

This is for my outdoor grow just a test.

If the seed has roots then yea throw it in there just be careful to not under or over saturate it trick bug can be done

Wil be doing this mate. Just wanted to do a test in the future thanks for the answer ill stick to rockwool.
