Some of my buds are ready for harvest. About drying. I have a closet with good air circulation... but the room is about 90 degrees in the daytime with no way to cool it. Should I take any precautions or is there anything i need to be worried about? Pics coming soon, about to make the chop.

90 is to high for drying, it'll dry way fast and that is not a good thing, you need to figure something out

So I put my wireless thermometer in there (which was in the grow room, i have an air conditioner on the way to lower the temp) and it says now it's 81degrees at 35% humidity. Is that ok if i put a humidifier in there on a timer? to keep the humidity up?

you could put them in a cardboard box ,hang, close lid, dry in your already controlled area,just a idea

go by feel. . .this is an art as much as a science. . .when the stems snap, cut the buds off the stems and put em mason jars to cure. Burp them once a week and you should be good. good luck

don't listen to no stem snapping crap either..... your buds will be too dry by then

80 degrees is too high. If you want the best medicine with the least amount of harsh you want them to dry at least 5 days. So try for 70s and 50 percent humidity if you can. I disagree with above note . I like to wait for the stems start to snap. This will keep the nugs quality for a longer time. I can smoke nugs that are 3-4 months old and they still smell and taste great. If you jar them a day or two early, the quality will deteriorate over time and the nugs will develop a nasty smell, and they will not burn evenly. It is a lot easier to add a tiny bit of moisture if necessary than taking some out. If you jar them too early and then try to fix it later they will not evenly dry and the funky smell won't go away. I've ruined pounds trying to get the dry and cure right.

stems actually snapping is awful flippin dry .... I take samples as its drying and start the cure in the high fifties low sixties... they bend and break w a little twist and might be stringy but not snapping.......

I mean cracking and snapping not brittle and falling off them stem. What do I know I've only cured hundos of packs .

60'percent is fine at 76 degrees . 70 would be too high at that temp. Make sure there is good airflow. Are you going to wet trim? Or let them dry on the stem first?

I just cut the buds off that were ready for harvest, trimmed them down, then hung them upside down. I have good air flow but not directly on the buds. Going to let the other buds on the bottom ripen up a bit before I harvest them.

It's been about 4 years since i've done this, and if i remember right, it was super aggravating trying to trim my girls when they were done drying for 10-14 days.
