No not always. If heat issues are present and causing this problem and it's not insects or the immediate medium.. Then this is a good option.

Yes this will cause stress but it should be minimal in comparison to heat stress. The plant looks far enough along in its flowering cycle for this technique to be helpful. That's why I offered it!
There are always risk factors when stressing the plant whether it be from heat, too little water or food , insects, over watering or feeding, plants too close to the light source, plants exposed to light when they are supposed to be sleeping, etc..
There are even products like snow storm that contain tricantanol which intentionally stresses the plant causing higher resin production
Fun fact is that some plants react extremely well to a 24 hour cycle off, with no lights. Like a little break for them. Makes them hungry for light and sometimes increases vigor and resin production as well
