So I just got my electric bill I expected it to be pretty high this month bc I'm running a 10,000 btu window unit and a 9,000 btu portable (that does hardly anything and needs to go asap DONT USE THESE) but anyway my last bill was $255 this month is $589 ya it has more then doubled I used 3,000 and some change kWh but they are charging .16 per anyone else think this is extremely high (per kWh, I'm not tripping on the bill)

That is kind of high, my company charges 9.5712 cents per kwh in summer if you use more than 1000 kwh. But they rape us in fees.

Enviromental compliance fee
Nuclear construction cost recovery
Municiple franchise fee
$10 basic service charge

And all of that is taxed.

Ya 2 months ago mine was .08 kWh it doubled last month with out any warning everyone was complaining about it at my work ... Fucking national grid

That's awesome ... I rent and I hope I don't live in this shit hole 2bdrm apartment in 9-10 years ...if I do I'll prob just hang it up in the closet

Most power companies bill in tiers. The higher the tier the higher the price per kWh used. I have industrial zoned power, which cost me .16 kWh also. That's seems very high for a house. The most I have seen mine get was .11 at home.

Mines been going up and down. I was at .135/kWh this month but had them put me on another plan that should keep me at .109/kWh for the next year.

Still gonna be an expensive fucking summer guys :|

Wow that's so cheap!!! My set up is 4x 400 hps and 2x 1000 watt hps with 3 inline fans and 2 ac units I'm pretty sure leaving the 10,000 btu on 24/7 is where the high as bill is coming from also I have a 9,000 btu portable ac is also running 24/7 and I've noticed that the portable is junk I'm going to replace it very soon w a window unit

F National grid!:cuss::fire::cuss: I'm probably close to ya. We saw the same hike. I have to find a new supplier for my mother, she got suckered into changing plans a few months ago and I just found out she's paying $0.194/KWH plus other fees...Problem is I pay for all the Garage bills, big hobby garage, so MY bills just went through the roof..thanks Ma!

Ya .19 is crazy high!!! Those scammers keep coMing and knocking on my door and they come at like 10pm and its always this ghetto girl that comes and asks to see my electric bill and I always tell her to kick rocks but she is so dumb to come to an apt in w ghetto ass area at 10pm saying This is shawndra and they got me knocking on yo door and I don't know you either? She's gonna end up getting shot around here acting sketchy like that at one of the wrong apartments .... Ya and and she speaks like straight Ebonics

My rate works on tier as well and I've hit the.22 before I switched to leds now and I am not using any ac right now and I live in Cali where it gets 100+F during the summer. Are you using vented hoods? And how many lights are you running?

Ya I'm gonna switch out my portable ac for another window unit tonight I'm going to pick up at 10,000 btu fridgadaire for $100 off cl tonite
