What's the best way to keep track of each strain in my outdoor grow?

I'm going to do an outdoor grow this year, I have two separate plots. One will be strictly my own Jackalope (Nepalese X OG Kush X White Widow) and I've ordered some seeds to try new things, I'm only going to do 2-3 of about six new-to-me strains, and was wondering how I should best keep track of which plant is which once I plant them.

Any recommendations?

Tie a tab around each ones stem at the base of the plant.

Draw yourself up a detailed chart or map when u plant them.
Use shortforms or codes that only u understand and keep it with you.

Every year I did my guerilla grows, I did this strictly by memory. I know it's not the best but I was easily able to tell each plant apart once they got a couple feet tall. But labeling them somehow is the best. Maybe just put the new strains in a separate patch so if they throw nanners or some shit your know strain won't be affected.

I was thinking about sticking different colored paperclips in the ground to mark each strain. I'll also make myself a small map. It's not a huge plot or anything that my new stuff is going into, my regular stuff I know well enough now that it's not too close to my house and I can count on how it'll react. The new strains are all going into a plot together, they're all female or autofem and I wasn't sure I wanted seeds in my results so they're going to be about 300 yards from my other plot.

plant tags and a sharpie. thats how i keep track of all my strains. As soon as i cut clones, they all get their own tag so nobody mixes them up when they get moved around and transplanted
