Hello guys, I just finished my very first DWC grow!

I wasn't able to control my cabinet temperature and my cabinet temps the whole grow was 75-82F and 78-84F for my DWC which was on the very warm side, but I was able to make do with a huge air pump and some SM-90 for keeping the tub sterile.

The strain is RQS Special Queen #1 under a 65W Hans Panel LED grow light. I used a local hydroponic nute for my veg stage and switched to AN Sensi Bloom when I made the 12/12 switch. I vegged for a month from seed and flowered it for 8 weeks. Aside from the base nutes and some SM-90, I added some Protekt silica hoping it would help the plant deal with the high temps. This is inside a cabinet thats about18"x22"x60"
and has a 4" intake and a 12" exhaust fan.

I dried them for 5 days and they just got in the jars. 70g total. Im so stoked, since I wasn't expecting much. Honestly I was happy with just finishing the grow without any disasters :p

Wow, killer grow :P Love anything with Queen in the name :)

Did you have any fade in the light towards the edges? I have a box of similar dimensions, just a tad bigger in floor, but not height.

I have been kicking around all kinds of ideas for LED, but maybe just one Hans is all I need? Thanks.

I havent really noticed any fade on the edges but I have not really tried to check before.

The one great thing about this panel is that I can go as close as 2" from the tops without encountering any problems.

Think one of these 65 watt Hans panels would work for a 3'x2'x2' ish stealth speaker box grow, with only 1 or 2 plants in a scrog? Thanks for sharing! I've been trying too find a led panel that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and also would fit inside my speaker box. Hopefully my search is over....what does everyone think?

Its a good choice...the 65 might not get all of the area, but the height is perfect.....They also make a bigger version, Hans does....

Look up bonsaihero

If you are looking for a prebuilt light, the Area51 RW75 is another good choice and they are on sale, still I think....a tad more than the Hans, but a really nice light...

The last option is to DIY....I have built a few led fixtures, some looked crappy and others more refined....definitely worth the effort...In fact someone yesterday was joking around about how their 10 year old was helping build a Cree Cob fixture....its that easy once you have a bit o direction :peace:

What about the 80 watt Hans? Would it work better for the space I have?

Which size is floor 3x2 or 2x2?

Figure about 20-25 watts/ sq ft for these LED's is pretty good, up to 40/sq ft will start to see diminishing returns possibly...

If 2x2..the 80 watt version is probably fine, but the output will be a little dim on the edges and corners [25w/sqft rule]

If 3x2...I would go with 2x the 65 Watts, or maybe just one of the 150w version.....[both would put you around 25w/sq ft]
