Alright so, this is my first time growing, I didn't want to go too expensive with things but I don't want to waste my time--- firstly I'm growing Reggie, is that worth growin? How long will it take? It already popped. Also, is there any way I can speed the grow process? PLEASE ANSWER

You need to read up. If you have a popped seed and no plan, you are already in trouble.

There is no way to speed it up beyond what some research in growing will tell you.

With most things in life, you get out of them the effort you put in....

Sorry to sound like an asshole, but to post showing you have done virtually zero research asking for the miracle cheap way to grow uber fast shows you are not likely to succeed.

No I've done research I have a set up I have it under a CFL 60, still with a heating pad and a low speed fan I just wanted to see if I could get any more information but nah you don't sound like an asshole just its my first time I'm not trying to fuck up I just wanted to see if Reggie was worth it

It might be you'd have to grow it to find out..
Yeah that's what I was thinking lol the most helpful I've found on it was basically patience is a virtue I'll just have to wait it said at least 6-8 months I was going to go to a seed bank but since I'm really ill experienced I didn't wanna go big

You earned my respect. If nothing else you got thick skin....

There are a million ways to grow. You gotta figure out what you want to do. You can bombard with CFLs and end up with bud. For me it was a pain in the ass during flower to keep the bulbs close as you need to.

Captial wasn't my issue. I invested in LED and have no complaints. I use two A51 in my flower area, and my veg uses my old CFL hood with normal Home Depot Cree LED bulbs. So in total only running about 400W.

Best bang for the buck to get in cheap is HID stuff. The ballast and high wattage scares me. My tent borders on my kids bedroom.

Speed... Flower takes what it will. You want indica dominate strains for indoor and faster flower. Veg is up to you. Longer veg = more yield, all other things held constant. IN my setup, veg time is based basically on when flower tent becomes available. I cut clones before sending plants to flower. When those are ready to harvest, the clones go into flower.

I assume 9-10 weeks from the time I switch plants to 12-12 to harvest.

But figure out your plan and ask some specific questions....

Youre absolutely right and that's wisdom given. There is the responsibility to inform the new grower without predjudice. You know what I mean...

So guys---- how does this sound, I have it on a schedule, between 7 am to 2 pm I do it on very little sunlight just a little in the window not much, after that I take it down and put it on the pad, I do a feeding at 730, and a last feeding at 10 pm and that's rotation, I want to try fox farm hydroponics trio and soil right now I have regular miracle gro soil I think I'm doing pretty good now though considering I already have three roots popping from the side but I really want this to work, would it be okay if I transferred it into rock wool or keep it in soil? Also how does a grow room sound

First you have to understand what you need to do in order. Without order there is only confusion.

If you want to do a successful INDOOR GROW this is what you NEED TO DO:

1. Get some SEED STARTER SOIL MIX.
This is a mixture of soil and nutrients strictly for the baby seedling to germinate and sprout successfully for the first two weeks.

2. You need to use PARTY CUPS either red or blue. These are almost the best pot shaped containers to USE so that the PLANT can ESTABLISH a STRONG and HEALTHY ROOT SYSTEM through out the plants life, from vegitative stage to the flower and budding stages to harvest.

3. Absolutely NO NUTRIENTS IS NEEDED for the first two weeks of the plant's life. Why? Because you DO NOT want to OVER FEED the plant nutrients while it is still young and tender. You can BURN the plant's roots and STUNT the growth of the plant, which will not give you the PROPER YEILD at harvest time. Also, in addition to NUTE BURN, you may come across MORE PLANT DEFICIECIES and may NOT BE ABLE to DIAGNOSE plant ISSUES. Keeping it plain and simple and basic is the STRATEGY New Growers should grasp in concept to entering into Grow Life Style.

4. For each plant that you grow you at least want to grow under (5) 26watt CFL spiral bulbs. With a ratio of (3) 6500K bulbs and (2) 2700K bulbs. This will give your plants two of the MAIN SPECTRUMS needed to grow your plants successfully. The 6500K is of the BLUE SPECTRUM. And the 2700K is of the RED SPECTRUM. You can read up more on these two particular spectrums of light from google and forums.

5. You have to have a GROW SPACE or AREA for the plant's invironment. And will have to keep it clean and sanitized to keep bugs and pest OUT and get a bottle of INSECT GNAT SPRAY. You gone NEED that.

6. If you are growing in a SMALL SPACE you only want to grow 1-3 plants. (Never plant two seeds in ONE POT!!!

7. You NEED to get you a HUMIDITY and TEMPERATURE MONITOR so that you can always better MANAGE your plant's invironment, temperatures, and humidity levels.

8. Before you PLANT your SEEDS make sure you do a WATER RUN OFF. You POKE (2) to (3) holes in the bottom of the cups and a few slits on the sides of the cups for aeration and oxygen flow. (Never plant SEEDS in DRY SOIL then WATER!!! The seeds will SINK DEEPER and take FOREVER to come up or can mold and rot. Always do a water run off (until you see some good drainage), then plant seed a NICKEL SIZE or HIGHT DEEP.

So this:

1. Seed Starter Soil for the first two weeks. Keep in mind to get your stronger soil as well because youll be transplanting in 2-3 weeks into 1-2 gallon pots. So get all soil and pots and have them ready for transplantation.

Grow Space
Soils
Lights
Planting Cups
Seeds
Humidity and Temp Monitor
6" Fan
Veg Stage 18 hour of light and 6 hours of darkness. 18/6
And you are GOOD TO GO.

Be patient and treat growing like a mature individual with purpose and determination to succeed in everything you do in life. GG.

My second grow in affect.

25 CFLs 3 weeks in Flowering Stage and 2 weeks of flowers showing. Im doing 2 plants in a 4•6•2 grow tent in 7 gallon nursury pots. Good strain sativa dominates bag seeds.

Now understand, every grower has a different unique touch. Everything I just gave you, Is from my own touch and experiences. This is only my second grow but Im 36 years old so there is that keeness and maturity and the ability to understand memorize observe and make it happen. And boy did I make some crazy mistakes and mis calculations. But with you if you listen to the not so experty but the really adamantly mature experiences and strategies from different growers you will advance. We are the same. Im still Newbish because Im still learning. When youre learning new things you are new to the knowledge of the new thing youre learning.... So be.. By the way youll do good because youre not really foolishly trying to grow for play I believe you want that title just like the rest of us who are truly inlove with growing. But I got a feeling youll do good with time patients and focus. With TLC for the Healing Plant. So good growing to you and you cant lose with this community. GG

Just for the record Chanel. If you mean some bag seed from some regular weed then by you growing it yourself you'll be able to mommy it thereby they'll be no seeds and will be a lot better quality that the seed it was took from. A friend GRE some random seed from some bag seed and tbh it was better than most of the stuff you can buy in the streets.

Yea, like my smaller lady.... She came from out the same bag as my monster momma..lol Sisters indeed. But she smells just like wrigleys spiriment gum. Really minty. Very different from her big sister. So what I call her or what did name her is "Fresh Mint Diva" and Im knowing shes a sativa dom... Just like her sister. The funny thing is though shed probably be as huge as her sister but i didnt low stress (LST) train her. I just let her grow to see how she will turn out. I did fim the main stem though. Bag Seed. I would clone her and breed her and name her "Fresh Mint Diva" to Identify her kind of strain which is mostly Sativa, but I dont have everything I need to do that YET.
