I usually dont put ppl stuff down but I am agreeing with ISK on this one. That "cola" or whatever it is, thats def not fire at all. Looks like first time grower products to be honest.

The thing about defoliation is this. U either r gonna trim ur popcorn off before u harvest or after u harvest. Even if u lollipop u will still get smaller pieces on the bottom of ur plants bcuz thats how MJ grows.

It grows by process called atypical dominance meaning the top main shoots will get the majority of the flower size and development. So no matter what u do the lower branches will never be main colas. But defoliating or lollipopping ur plants are both forms of defoliation and I personally have never found it to be detrimental to my final yields at all.

Ppl can argue all they want this is just my opinion on the subject. And its either one way or the other. Ur basically just saving urself trimming at final step which is harvesting since u wont have those lower BS branches and fluff if u lollipop. And removing large interior blocking fan leaves I find definetely works to increase bud size. Which ppl again will argue saying that flowers dont need light to grow its the leaves "solar panels". But I dont believe that the only way plants produce flowers and direct light to the main colas will impact the final yield so tucking or removing some of those leaves I find to be helpful and also helps air flow and reduces the chance of molds and other problems. So its useful in many ways. But find what works best for you as this is simply my opinion that many will disagree with and Im fine w that.

This my situation I have a 1.2 by 1.2 by 2 metre tent
Now I veged a bit to long and my tents crowded as fuck in about 1 week humidity is going to be a massive issue and Iam thinking of giving the defoilation a go

Now I know solar panel ect
Foods stored in leaves ect

But the plant will still have leaves just not as much

So plz tell me what u think based on personal experience

I try to keep as many leaves as possible but when necessary prune. I now use 2 nets. I use a 2x2 inch for lower down to encourage branching and 4x4 net to separate the bud tops. I strip a little past the first net. During flowering I do on occasion still prune wild shoots and the odd bigger leaves. I have also left many grows untouched. If I were you and I wanted the maximum yield I would leave them be, but harvest in two or even three stages ( I chuck em outside after main harvests) that larf will harden right up when given time and light.

It has to do with genetics mostly defol or not , not every plant is going to produce like that, nice buds though!! It made me think that any cannabis I ever got or got from a collective there never is a main cola in the bag because everyone knows there is a big stem down the middle of that bud. I rather have uniform sized nugs that I know are mostly bud not stem,growing to get that main cola unless its a SOG method is purely for looks in most cases thats why I always train my plants I never grow a main cola because no patients like it or you end up braking it down anyways. Just my 2 cents!

I guess my statement about growing main cola's for looks was bit overboard I definitely respect letting nature do the work and in the wild thats how this plant grows so i understand that. Like I said and which you also repeated you just end up cutting the buds off the main cola so why even grow one main cola when you can do a scrog to get even size buds.
I wouldn't call me more of a buyer than grower I just like to taylor to my patients needs and they like nice even nugs not a big main cola with a fat stem down the middle I sure wish they did though ,not everyone can appreciate the main cola and believe me I've had my share of nice cured buds from cola's of a untrained plant I don't see what the difference would be in quality in a plant that was cut vs one that wasn't as long as both where grown and cured right.
