IS my plant nearing the end of its life cycle??

OK, so Im 6 weeks into flowering and the buds are looking pretty good. All of the newer growth is still really green and healthy but my plants are dying off from the bottom up. I read that as a marijuana plant nears the end of its life cycle it starts to die from the bottom to the top and the reason is to keep the buds as healthy as possible for as long as possible. So far Ive been losing fan leaves at a rate of about 1 per day. there just turning yellow, drying up then falling off. The Trychs are still very clear so Im sure its not time to harvest yet but my question is, is this normal for the age of my plants? Do I need to let them do thier thing or should I start looking for some sort of deficiency or other type of problem? I still have 2-3 weeks left before they are supposed to be ready so will my trychs start to change color as the plant dies off or do I really need to start working on them to keep em alive? I dont have pics but if need be I can take a few and post later for visual help.

I tried to get pics but I was only able to get one pic b/c my camera batteries are dead. AS soon as I can get some new batteries I will post a few pics.

I was able to snap one pic before they totaly crapped on me. It shows the bottom part of the twiggyest one. You can sort of see the bottom and mid section of the one to the right and how the leaves have yellowed and the tops are still pretty green.

Ill get as many pics as I can once I get some batteries.

Thanks for the help! Is there a fert I should look for that would supply just the nitrogen or should I look for a mixed fertilizer with a higher nitrogen level?

Oh, and I had trouble attaching the pic earlier so here it is. My little bagseed plant. Shes not very big and deffinately not beautiful but shes producing and thats what matters to me! Im deffinately going to invest in some genetics next go-round. :hump:

How tall is it? What kind of lighting? Just wanting to know. A friend has some bag seed plants going. Wondering what we should expect the buds to look like.

Its 26 inches tall and the main cola bud is about the size of a roll of quarters and the popcorn buds closer to the top are about the size of a small cherry tomato. I am using 8 100 watt equivalent cfl bulbs and 2 18 watt flourecent grow bulbs. This was really meant as a learning process and I have picked out a bunch of things I will do differently next time.

For starters, I plan on building a cabinet. I also plan on adding more lights since the buds are growing best closest to the light. I want to be able to spread the light more evenly. I also plan on investing in some good genetics and using better soil.

As it looks now I will probably only harvest an ounce maybe more, maybe less but not by much. Im not dissapointed though b/c I expect this bud to be better than anything available in my home town. Comparable bud here sells for anywhere between 50 and 85 bux/qtr sac.

Much better pics, I think you still have a week or two man, all the hairs are pretty white, that last pic especially has about 90% white hairs. Like a previous guys said, pick the bottom buds but the main buds still have some growing.
