Followed along with the hype until it made it's way to Michigan and I finally got to try it.
The first G I picked up was superbly grown, smelling of cocoa and coffee.
My new favorite insomnia med, it's not my kind of daytime smoke unless I'm in pain.
Weeks later i picked up another gram and this example was very harsh and the high/stone not as profound, which I chalk up to poor growing.
I was lucky enough to pick up a couple cuts, even though they were $40 a piece, I jumped on them.
I have them in their their first week of flower, already the buds are the size of a fingertip with the surrounding leaves covered in trics.
I plan on hitting one of the ladies with a Cindy's Bleu Cheese from oregon green seed, only male currently in my stable.
I anticipate an interesting cross, which ought to add a bit of sativa to the high and a little sweetness to the flavor and odor.
That is if I find a pheno that shows attributes of the both parents.
So far the crosses I've seen all look worthy, I'm just excited to have the GG4 genetics preserved in seed form, even if they're a cross.
I travel in the summer so keeping clones is out of the picture.

Here's one in veg getting ready to be flipped to flower...
IMO it's a good plant in every way, but exceptional in no way. Yield and bag appeal would be its most redeeming qualities. This would be a cash croppers ideal plant.

Exactly my experience. I find the high to be boring and weak.
Bag appeal, smell, taste, yeild and structure are all solid.
It's hard to believe folks get a weak high from it, though I think it was a boring, uninspiring high myself.
But boring makes it a good before bed smoke, as opposed to the racier high THC strains.
Not trying to highjack, but I'm really keen to hear what other med patients think of it.
How long do you like to take yours, KGP?
I'd really like to take one longer than the other in my grow room, I'm hoping to up the narcotic effects with longer flowering.

Ive taken her anywhere from 55 to 70. Dont get me wrong its still good. I get higher smoking a half a joint of og as I do taking a whole gg4 joint to the face. Its really tasty. It just doesn't knock me out, make me tired, couch locked. Maybe relaxed. And yes its way better than a racy saliva that creates panic attacks.
When I say weak, I mean I have other cuts that get me much higher, much faster, and more complexity to it.

It's decent. Without the alliterative name and altruistic origin story I think it would be lost in the sea of other decent cuts floating around. It's the weed version of a viral video.

Oh, for sure KGP, most the varieties of OG I've grown and tried are more enjoyable and complex in their high.
I have maybe an unwarranted bias against OGs, the lankiness bothers me, fat buds up top and notta the last two feet of the stalk on topped plants.
The next weeks will tell how much I like the growth pattern of the glue.
I get some sort of therapy out of just sitting with my plants.

You'll love the structure. I've tried several different methods and I like letting it go un-topped, very nice branching. I always shave the legs, that's about the only thing I do. It's an easy to grow plant. I'm sure you guy's will enjoy it.

I finally saw some GG#4 in front of my eyes, got to hold it and smell it but for some reason no one ever smoked it lol. We were taking straight rosin dabs but I was itchin to roll a joint with it. Next time...next time.

It was at a dispo. In Denver and supposedly a fake or a bad representation.

Hahahaha! I wanna taste it, I can't smell very well after the surgery they did to my face so I get off on the taste for most strains. But for some reason I can smell the citrusy strains or the really weird jacks like j1 and xj13. But I can't tell you what exactly each smell is... really blows at times.
Mine was also at the dispensary but we were just kickin back at the hash bar and I didn't see my buddy crack it open to smoke he just passed it around for show.... BUT I did get super ripped so I am not complaining. Next time I will speak up and ask to toke a bowl of it and let you know how I feel about it. IF I get the opportunity again.

Have you tried any hash from the GG#4? If the high is better from the hash I would feel it might be worth it to do a run of them.
