Honest opinion or nice opinion.....

Nice opinion....looks good, Better than most in fact..... if it was half the price, I might consider it.....If there was a quality LED fixture, I might really consider it....

Honest opinion.....cheap aluminum/ tin cabinet cut on a brake, any metalworker in your area should be able to do this less than $100....A rubbermaid tote, cut out with net cups and fish pump....with a $15 cfl ........what screams $800 for that....

Again, probably one of the better prices I have seen for a cabinet, but still....How about altering a Pre-Made Cabinet instead of building from scratch?

Did you see the dimensions? It's about the size of a small drying tent. Can buy more cobs for that money and run softer instead. :D

For that money it should be much larger and there are better options, like indeed a regular closet.

I built a 2x4x6 ft oak cabinet with lights and ventilation for less than 500.

That thing is a rip off. You could build it for less than 200.

Thanks for the input guys.

I have been trying to find a more "bare bones" growbox for sale online but without much luck. I don't have a ton of free time to make the whole box from scratch, but with a nice start or just a nice box constructed I could finish off the inside how I want it but it is looking more and more like I need to just find a suitable box or cabinet and fully make it into what I need.

I actually have one of those. It didn't take long for me to realize that for my needs, I really did require 2 chambers (veg/bloom). I also only did two cycles with that light before I started looking for alternatives. The carbon sock was NOT adequate - I ended up ripping it out and ducting to my attic with a filter up there.

All that said, I bought it because i was in a time crunch and my patient couldn't wait for me to figure everything out. In my case, I did what I did and don't regret it based on my needs. I did not get $800 worth of meds from it as-is, but it gave me a platform to learn on. I'll try and get back on later tonight and post my suggestions for straight forward tote build (I've got one in the works).

look at furnature for sale on craigslist near you, anything like an old refriderator or smaller keg apt size fridge works great, an old dressor or wardrobe / tv type cabinet works good, drill some holes, run a power strip, hang a cheapy china led like a mars light , follow the idea above and use a storage tub from home depot with a fish air pump and do a simple DWC hydro or go for soil with some fox farms ocean mix, , a pc fan and a home made carbon filter with pencil cups and panty hose,, BAM!!!

I have the SuperCloset Trinity LED, and I love it. In my opinion it is worth the cost. I could have built my own, but it most definitely would not have been the same quality. Also they give you a 3 year warranty on all parts, whIch is pretty valuable. These cabinets are very well designed, plus you get free grow support, and they even gave me a free how to grow in hydroponics video series (Grow like a SuperPro). I don't really need that stuff, but it would be great if you are a new grower.

FNG here, I was pretty close to buying this https://supercloset.com/product/grow-cabinets/superflower-3-0-led-grow-cabinet/ grow cabinet. After doing some research I've decided to build my own. I'll use their specs as a guideline but will be happier with the hydroponic/ lighting system I install. They have very specific approach to growing which works well for some with minimal effort. Seems kind of like training wheels for growers. Not at all saying that's a bad thing. But, I'm looking to have 2 to 3 plants fill my canopy not 18.
