My setup:
48x48x80 Grow Tent
6" inline fan and a 12" honeywell inside for some air movement.
1000w mh and hps bulbs running on a digital ballast in an air cooled hood
I'm using Dakine420 Organic Coco Coir Blend as well as the nutrients that came with it.
5gal felt pots

Current light schedule is 20/4.

Currently I have a Northern Lights Auto at about 5 weeks along (just started to flower), Silver Haze #9 About 4 weeks along going to veg this girl out a little more. Also have 2 White widow autos, one about 2 weeks out of the soil other a little over a week.

I will post up some pictures later today. So far so good I think for my first grow, they might be a little small for how far along they are but at least I think they are still healthy.

Here are a few pictures. I think I may have burned my NL slightly.

Leaf curl on the NL seems to be fading and SH seems to be shaping up as well. WW#1 has a new set of leaves. I know only 1 day but you can see the difference! WW#2 is going to be a runt I think, she took a long time to germinate and one of her seedling leaves is pretty deformed.

Thanks, they seem to do alright they only really leak out the sides once it starts draining out the bottom(so extra runoff) but it very rarely happens this soil mixture soaks up water rather well.

If your getting root rot chances are you are not changing solution soon enough or you are using incorrect nutrients. Also peroxide in with your regular feedings can only help prevent root rot. Just my 2

I'm changing my nutes every week if not less, I'm using Canna vega a +b running 4ml per gal with a ppm of 200 also using silica that doesn't change ppm? And I've also running pythoff as a sterilising agent it basically clhorine. Think the strain is prone to rot as I have 30lpm of air into one 5 gal bucket that's 30w and the bucket is also insulated and I keep temps on or below 67f so I don't know what's happening lol any input would be great also you can visit my journal I'll post a link

So I've heard mixed things in regards to trimming fan leaves on autos. Some say yes it's fine some say no don't trim anything because it will stunt it. What are some peoples thoughts on this? Reason I ask is my lower nodes on my NL are being shaded by all these fan leaves.

Half are brown but even the brown ones are growing new White roots and the roots in the net pot all seem to be white and to your question its strain dependant my girl seems to not mind it I'm mainling so everything besides top growth is trimmed responds well and grows again the next day

So I may have a magnesium deficiency forming on my SH. Anyone have any additional input?

What's your runoff ppm? If it's higher than 200 flush with ph'd water same thing happened to me turned out I had nute lockout. plants in soil don't need over 100-150 ppm of nutes until they are a bit bigger

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Not sure on the ppm on the runoff but ph was 6.2 when I gave it some ph'd water today.
