I honestly have be come obsessed with growing indoors IDK why but I spent some money and got a good set up to start with. I hope all is going to go smooth. Im little nervous and checking my plants all the time! haha

I will try and add photos everyday and answer questions if anyone has any!

Germ 2 PPP Seeds first got 100% germ rate with a thing i do with all my garden seeds i use to do. Photos are up.

I've got 24 NYPD plants 3 weeks into flower. Your in for a big bushy plant, you could grow these to gargantuan sizes outdoors.

Hello normally when you transplant up it should be done in stages to avoid any stress.. In my opinion you transplanted up into to large of a container,,, my rule of thumb is 1" seedling tray once roots are noticeably showing from bottom.
Transplant to 2 - 6 " pot from there you let it grow , eventually transplanting it to the larger pot this will help the smooth transition...
Going to large right off the bat ....can stress plant , stop growth for a period of time and cause other issues

Yes i did that.
The coco was root bound so i want to small 4 by 4 inch pot
After 1 week the pot was root bound. i knew i should have got photos of it but it was against the walls and reaching out.

these were the only pots i had so i went to these.

NOW BIGGER DAM PROBLEM
Im having heat issues!
i have the exhaust going right out the window and all the vents open on the tent pulling air from the bottom up to the top. Im still running hotter then i want.

the room is 76F and the tent right now is running 86F. i think its running 94F at the canopy level.
Any help?

I will be watching and learning from you as I, too, just planted two PPPs and I am a first time indoor grower. I've always grown outside but I don't live in the same place anymore. Plus, I have to be careful that one member of the family doesn't even know I have a grow. Try THAT trick! I also planted 2 AK48s and 2 of the freebies and don't know what they are or if they are feminized like my PPPs and AKs. This could create a problem. I don't want to accidently get my girls pregnant. You are going to be an education for me.

Its new to me as well i have grown everything else in my life but Cannabis is new to me. Indoors is NEW to me so i will learn from it.
2 AK48 are those not a off cross of Skunk? If your trying to keep it quite would that not smell during flowering? im just saying what i have read. I hope you have a carbon filter ready to put in some work!!

The plants are 3 weeks old only reason i transfer into the main pot is because i started getting roots out side my 4x4inch starter which i know means root bound. Threw the years of growing other stuff i can tell when the transfer of energy is away from the roots expanding and going into the plant. Same thing happens with all plants. so i pulled them and transfer. I honestly just hope that there sitting pretty same as the other stuff i have grown.

Ok i for real spent ALL DAY! trying it work this out..
end result is i had to go to the chart on lumen. SSOOOO i was running it in 1000w mode which is pumping hella lots of heat running 94F.. not good.
I pulled the Digital ballast down to 750w at 18inch distance from canopy. Which i want to say is going to put me around (big estimation here) 9000 lumen. Which still keeps me in the green area. But now i am running 82F which is still a little hot for me plus i would like to get back up to 1000w range.

So after crunching some numbers i found out that the only way im going to do this is to cool the 4*4*7 tent. Now alot of people in my area dont know what a swamp cooler is but i do and i found one that is a tower with a coverage area of 100SF. Using the math (4*4*7) / 2= 56 coverage area i need. So i am at double the cooling power i need with this tower unit. At max this tower runs 45w So im hoping to be able to run at most 1/2 power to the cooling tower run lower watts per hour and keep the room cool enough to pump up the light again.

I put the chart and cooling tower in the photos.

Just little update while i was drinking my coffee this morning.

750w at 18inches
doing the math of the 1000w, 400, 250w all at 18inches

750w at 18inches is running around 9902.50 Lumen.
fallowing the chart thats pretty dam good.
Running on the edge tho at 83F and 31% Hum.

Im still within ranges!!

Your humidity is way to low you need it in the range of 60 + in veg for proper osmosis i personally cannot see it root bound at that size there is no way i have grown PPP for many years as well as other strains and for the size of that plant it should not be in any bigger pot size right now then 4" i am just saying

AKs are mostly Indica and "bred from the AK marijuana strain series of the 90s and a close relative of the better known AK 47 seed" "this strain is ideal for beginners, although its strength and rapid growth make it of interest to commercial growers as well. The AK 48 buds are easy to trim and covered with a shiny coat of tiny crystals. The high THC content makes this weed very potent, although the high still retains some cerebral sativa qualities" That's basically all I know besides the 48-day life of the plant. That doesn't look like any swamp cooler I've ever seen. We had swamp coolers in our house in Costa Rica. Funny you should mention ac unit--THANKS!--I just realized something a friend of my mother's was giving away a standup A/C unit with remote, with an exhaust that you put in the window and we picked it up yesterday for in case we have a hurricane this summer. The generator doesn't kick the central ac in so she got it for that. It didn't dawn on me til now, I could use that later on in my future grow tent. The threat that lives in the house is my 21-year old niece and is moving out in August so I have to keep my plants growing as S-L-O-W as possible til she's gone. I don't think it's going to be possible with the AKs. My AK-48 is an early bloomer, they say they're "an extremely early finisher and under perfect conditions it’s been known to finish in 48 days, hence the name." Yikes, so there's hardly any way I will be able to keep them in veg til August.

Hey, didn't you said you're growing in a tent? How much does the tent look like a standing clothes closet that some people have in their rooms with little closet space? Think it could pass as one? I've only seen pictures. Okay, I think that's it.

So up date i ran into some HUGE problems that alot of people were nice enough to help me out with. They are being corrected as i post now.

Shout out to all the guys helped me out on this thread! As well calmed me down cause i was FREAKING OUT!

Update on my little babies.
I am a bit of noob so im learning alot in this grow. I ran into something of a Iron Def problem very early on in this grow all this week i was dealing with this.
As well i was stupid enough to not check my PH levels on water out of the Distilled Jug... GRRR but hey its a learning thing. As for now all is going well my color is coming back in my leaves lights are adjusted perfectly now and ph levels are running 6.3-6.5PH.

As well i leaned check the PH levels AFTER you add the nutes to the bottle!!!! The FoxFarm brand changes the PH levels DRAMATICALLY. I have a 6.5PH before GrowBig FF after 1/4 Nutes it shot down to 3.7!!

Temps i got under control as well.

Did I miss it or did you say whether or not these are from cuttings or from seeds. It's definitely a "NEED TO KNOW" thing because mine are from seeds and they don't look this healthy. Plus, I've read you don't give seedlings or cuttings any nutes because they can't handle it. It will burn them. Looking at my seedlings, I feel they need a little boost but don't know what to use. Please advise on this topic. Thanks!

Its still to early to tell but if there clones most times the nodes will be uneven on the way up the main stalk.

What the heck are you using for grow these seeds? My PPPs are the only ones that came up. My AK-48s never broke the surface and a few of the freebies came up. I do have an AK seedling that looks like it's coming up but it's been in the same spot for days-- just showing a little green thru the top soil. I want to make sure that AK makes it because, well, BECAUSE it's the ONLY AK!

To germ i used coco pellets.
i dont like those germ dome i think your using because of stretch and the light is never enough.
I make a Germ dome from the store. and CFL lights.

You want some kind of little bit of air flow over the germ areas just enough so the air is moving.
that is why there is holes in the top of the germ dome i got 2 of them. I put a fan so it blows over the top of those hole and it brings in just enough air for them.

I just used normal TAP water for germ the stuff in it kill bacteria.

I lay all that over a heat mat for 100% HUM rate in the dome.

Plus i would never GERM all my seeds like that i would do 2 at a time until i get my formula down pat.
Right now there is only 2 PPP going on i have 3 more and 5 NYPD

The photo is the first day or germ.
once they both broke soil i gave them 1 day in the coco. to get some stretch.
Then i move them into 4in FoxFarm OF soil still inside the coco. Then wait until first sign of roots out the drain holes.

After that i messed up some lol
I went right into my main pot! 3gal bucket. But for my application its ok.
if your using the soil method you want to step up your pots into your main pot.

Now i dont care about my Ele bill i want the best environment. so i went right under my MH at 600w which is why i got such good growth rate. just watch your light distance. Small plants are very easy to kill.

Good advice. I read somewhere online for building a small grow room. One of the items was an "emergency blanket for $2 - never figured out what that was but I see you have your babies on a heating mat of some sort. I didn't do that. And the only reason I planted them all is because I got one of those "hit or miss" batches from Nirvana, which were more miss than hit. So I ended up germinating the others in 4 different ways. Only the paper towel method worked. My dome doesn't have holes in it. I took it off already anyway and since the seedlings are about an inch high, I took it off and put it in the grow room. They are reaching for the light. Now I have two more coming up. But before this, nothing was happening. i NEVER intended to plant them all but I had to to get SOMETHING to grow!

Im not going to get on the Nirvana thing like other people but i can say this. I ordered from them just like you.
The packaging a little like WTF guy come on. The seeds so far are great. Hit or miss? i dont know about that i think it is more user error then bad seeds alot of times. There is a science to this even just to Germ some seeds. The germ part i got down!! I have had a garden for YEARS and i have germ all kinds of seeds from around the world. its always the same method i use and it has worked 90% of the time.

This will really help me see what your working with and how what advice i can get.
MY ladies are looking STRONG this morning im very proud so far, and the smell is just WOAH even so young of a age.

I can def point you in a direction i went to get tent and lights and fan ect ect i went out on a gut feeling with a company and i must say there quality thus far is 100% and there customer service is top notch. I had 2 problems when i ordered they call me back about both the same day with ini 1 hour and took care of both issues with out questions.

I can say this Silky i have taken this up as my main thing to do out side of my day job. you will HAVE to invest some money the cheaper you go the less yield you will get from everything i have read. So i took it serious and i invested around 1000$ thats everything and im still buying stuff peace at a time.

Little update here!

So i spent little more money haha
picked up this tower swap cooler!
Just put the baby in there today. We will see what happens i honestly think its perfect for 4x4 grow room.

Its a tower so it will replace the moving fan in there as well.

My youngsters don't have the bulk yours has. Did you top them once already to get them to be short and fat? I'm serious and I am a newbie. I'll send photos in a minute.
