Thanks for the help from several RIU led guys , I have almost completed building a cree cob cxa3070 light fixture that will hang across my marshydro 300,, maybe someone could give me an estimate on lumens, my guess is around 21,000 to 24000 lumens? I have a cab build thread going on over in indoor stealth micro cab, this thread is just about the cob led light / mars joinIMG_7568.JPGIMG_7569.JPG IMG_7570.JPG IMG_7571.JPG IMG_7573.JPG

i still need to wire up the pc fans on the cobs, I will probably do that next thursday, my clones will be ready in a couple more weeks, its time to grow, I will post pictures of the fan install and wiring next week, I wonder how many watts I am pulling actual watts, mars claims their light is 175-180 watts, so what is 2 cree cobs?, and any guesses on my total lumens?,, mars says thier light is 7900 lumens, so what are the 2 cree cobs?

Your wife must be feeling better, TIM! That is good! Glad to see you almost there :peace:

Should be around 7100 lumen's each, but better yet....1.4 amps x 37.3 volts = 52 watts

Cree = 104 ish watts @42% efficiency equals roughly 43-44 PAR watts...
Mars = is kind of a guess...lets say 30% @170? watts = 51 PAR watts
-about the same amount of PAR watts, but it takes 58% more energy from the Mars to equal your Cree's!!!!!!!

Remember this about lumens, they are a photometric measurement, so a measure of how light is seen by the eye, not necessarily all light....
Heavy blues can skew a Lumen count since blues will have more lumens than red spectrums...So you could have two different lamps, drawing different wattages, but output the same lumens....One is skewed towards blue and using less power, one is skewed towards red and using more power....not a good indicator at all....
