I'm amazed how little people in America value flossing their teeth. It was never really emphasized to me growing up but as I got older I realized just how important it is. I'm not just talking about the health benefits of preventing gum disease and gingivitis but if you want fresh breath, it is a requisite. Many people believe brushing is good enough but it is not. I know flossing is a pain in the butt and that's why most people don't do it but it is just as important as taking a shower. Also, your mouth will never feel cleaner than after you floss and brush your teeth. I know I should probably floss more often but I generally do no less than twice a week.

When you eat meat, small particles get stuck between your teeth and start to rot. If you've ever smelled rotten meat then you know that the smell is horrible. When you talk to people, you're blowing that rancid smell right into some poor victims face.

Also, don't be naive enough to think that you just because you don't smell your bad breath that it isn't bad. Everyone has bad breath and you have to do whatever you can to prevent it.

Not regularly but I don't go to a dentist I hate them they say it won't hurt with Novocaine fucking liars. But I got decent teeth I don't drink soda if it can take corrosion off your battery terminal it's probably not good for your teeth. :bigjoint: I brush everyday is that really not enough?

Was like you, never taught properly and hated it, After spending big money to fix my teeth, a dentists explained the importance of flossing. I do it every night. It is probably more important than brushing. Those little flossers are great and easier than the old way.

Those are great while sitting in traffic, can be helpful when quitting smoking for that oral sensation too.

yea its not. the plaque will still build up and you will lose your gums more and more the older you get. once they are gone you never get them back either

The more oxygen you get inbetween your gums the better.

So many people have bad breath which is caused by lack of flossing.

I don't need to floss.

My teeth are gapped enough I can fit my toothbrush in between each one and scrub them individually.
In a way people like you are lucky because you will have less fillings.

My ex had one filling aged 40. His brother is/was my dentist over in Germany. He (the dentist) flosses just a few times a week at night after brushing. Every night is better though.

I have to floss every other day or two. my gums bleed easily. No I'm not sawing back and forth, I just have sensitive gums. But yes, flossing is very important folks.
